The Scene – A trip to Headlands State Park's mile-long natural sand beach makes for an almost perfect replica of a day on the banks of Atlantic City (minus the Trump properties). I love Mentor Headlands, my son and I come up from Akron every summer with some friends. It's a beautiful beach and my son enjoys himself very much. My only issue is the walk to the beach. I would love for my son's Grandparents to come, but the walk in the sand it to long and to hard for them. I think that a boardwalk for the elderly and disabled would be an extra bonus and it would ideal so that EVERYONE can enjoy the beach.
That is my only complaint. I would love for my Dad to come and watch his Grandson play in the sand, but there is no way he could make the walk. :(
- Pros: It's gorgeous, clean and free!
- Cons: Needs a boardwalk in order for disabled and seniors

We stopped one day during our family vacation and were pleasantly surprised. The beach was beautiful and great for families! I would recommend it to anyone!
