Horrible Service.
The service was horrible and the Proprietor Trevor made execuses for the poor service his staff provided. He failed to make it right and should have taken accountability for himself and his staff.
The food was good, but I will not go back.
An open kitchen churns out wood-fired pizzas and fresh-made pastas at this casual Sicilian-American chain..
In Short
Decorated with family photos of founders Damian Mandola and Johnny Carrabba, the open dining rooms pack groups of friends and extended families into four- and six-person tables and booths; smaller parties or couples can grab stools at the open kitchen's adjoining bar to watch chefs make dinner. The traditional southern Italian menu offers grill specialties like steak Marsala and fire-roasted chicken breast with sun-dried tomatoes; pasta dishes include fettuccine Alfredo and garlic-sauteed shrimp with linguine.
not many vegetarian choices. i love italian and being a vegetarian it is usually a safe option. Carabba's however had a very limited menu for us and the minestrone soup which is normally vegetarian is made with chicken stock.
Highly Recommened. We eat here on the average of twice a month and have never had a bad meal or disappointing service. The veal marsala with garlic mashed potatoes and the Desert Rosa are especially good. The salads are excellent. In fact, my favorite restuarant in all of Cleveland.
Excellent. My first Carrabba's experience was the best resturant experience I've had in a long time! Everyone I was with raved throughout the entire meal about how wonderful their meal tasted! Everything was cooked to prefection! Their steak practicly melts in your mouth, it's so tender! The price is a little higher than I like to spend, but when the food is this good I certaintly don't mind! The service was excellent as well.
Usually a dissapointment. Unfortunatly, I have dined here about maybe 10 times, and I have had to send food back because of its pastey noodle taste, way over cooked appetizers and undercooked chicken. I have had better meals for the same price at James Dominics. I kept trying because it was so close to home and people 'said' it was good, but really is not. The service was okay, but the food is nothing special and the majority of the time I left dissatisfied. The open kitchen atmosphere was terrible. I really love sitting down at a table for a realxing meal to hear people screaming and cussing for thier order and such nonsense. Real italian... YEAH RIGHT! this is real money spent on lousey food.
