The Scene
Although the blue marlin mounted over the door might suggest otherwise, it can actually be good to have a hook. This eatery has made Key West and Caribbean-style dining its niche. The decor is pastel, and the vibe's as cool as an ocean breeze. Notice servers hustling by in color-splashed camp shirts, a bar heavy with well-dressed buccaneers, and enough potted vegetation to restock a rainforest. You can almost hear the ocean.
The Food
The kitchen bakes, grills or broils everything that flies, swims or saunters. The motto: there's no dish that couldn't benefit from a splash of coconut milk, rum or both. The plank of fresh grouper, for example, is rolled in a macadamia-nut crust and sauteed, then topped with mango butter. Lunch includes gourmet pizzas, with asiago and asparagus stuffed crepes providing counterpoint. Burgers and broiled filets come fast and bloody good. Dip a conch fritter in horseradish marmalade.
