The Scene
With a dimly lit interior that suggests the days of Miles Davis and John Coltrane, this bar has the feel of a place that has been around for years. A long bar and friendly staff
greet visitors. In the main room, there are small tables and a well-lit, classy and cool stage; walls are covered with prints of jazz giants interspersed with black and red curtains.
The Draw
Weekends bring a regular lineup of local jazz bands, with the occasional visiting act. Singers and poets take the stage with the band during the night to perform everything from "My Funny Valentine" to improvised beat poetry. The bar has a small menu of sandwiches and appetizers. comfortable jazz nest. Robin's Nest is one of the few places in Cleveland where you can enjoy quality jazz. Its dark, hole-in-the-wall look reminds me of many great jazz clubs in cities such as Chicago or Wash DC. I had a great time and only question the price of a vodka martini which ran $10. The drinks along with the cover charge don't make it the best deal in the city, but I will definitely treat myself there again.…
