go to grumpy's. Recently renovated - check it out! The atmosphere is incredibly friendly. Say hi to Kathy - she's always in a good mood! (I don't think "Grumpy" is still there - they may have to consider a name change!)

Sweets and comfort food are steadily doled out to late-night diners at this former meat market.. The Scene
Don't be alarmed when you see the guy with the blood on his apron (Grumpy); it's probably from tonight's meaty special, and you'll ease up as soon as he places a fresh tray of his famous rocky-road cookies in the window to cool. Late at night, Grumpy's really comes alive. When the bars down the street close at 2am, the doors of this former meat market reopen to bartenders, cab drivers, strippers and other night owls strolling in for late-night dinners or early breakfasts.

The Food
Delicious comfort foods such as meatloaf and mashed potatoes share the menu with post-bar mainstays like sunny-side-up eggs and toast. There's also a wonderful, spicy jambalaya, which is probably not your best bet after four hours at the local bar. The desserts, though, are great anytime.

phenomenal dinner experience. Wow... This place ranked up in the top 10 of my all time dinners. Great personal touch dining experience. I love bringing my own bottle of wine to dinner. Very fresh and very tasty food prepared in the adjoining kitchen. Highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Great neighborhood spot!. Tiny little place with great food. Good selection. Unexpectedly nice presentation of some items. Worth waiting for!
