That, and soul: The Presti family has helmed this Little Italy tradition since 1903, but the remodeled blond-wood floors and sleek black fixtures make the glassed-in space contemporary. Non-bakery bites like wedding soup, sub sandwiches and pizza-by-the-slice (all less than $4) are as satisfying as people-watching from the wrought-iron tables.

The cafe setting is so fun to sit and sip a coffee and enjoy a little sweet treat. There are big picture windows in the front so while you're enjoying your desert you can watch the people walk by in Little Italy. It is a wonderfully romantic spot and everything is delicious.

I love this Bakery! Great pastries, and good food. It is a great place to take your kids.
