Food borne illness? Rude treatment by manager.... My wife and I ate at the Brown Derby Roadhouse in Lyndhurst, Ohio last night, March 10, 2012. We woke up in the middle of the night very ill, and this continued through the day today. We called the restaurant to alert the management that we may have had a food borne illness. To our surprise, the manager we spoke with, Jay, was rude, flippant and completely unconcerned. He indicated that food borne illnesses can take up to 72 hours to appear and asked how we knew his food made us sick. We have a good feeling that we got sick from something we had at the restaurant, but cannot proove this, of course. We are more concerned about how we were treated and that the manager was less than concerned that we were ill and that others may become ill also. We were appalled by his lack of concern and do not recommend this restaurant due to this!
Best Steak?. Best Steak? NO WAY. I can't believe this is on the list. Popular steak maybe but the best? Mabye those people haven't had a good steak before, so they don't know any better. It's sad really. Pick one of the others if your looking for a good steak! Want a good cheap Fillet. Try Texas Roadhouse. I didn't believe it myself but the quality of meat can't be touched for their asking price. very good.
good price but lousey steaks. I have given Roadhouse several chances, thinking that you can always get a bad steak at any resteraunt, But, in my opinion, Filet Mingon should not have any fat or gristle in it.
greeeeat steak. Best steak ever. Always cooked to perfection. Big beers help too. My wife and kids love it too.
How Did This Make The List!. The steaks are always too tough and the service is the worst of any restaurant I've been too. If you're going to drink, keep away from mixed drinks, they do the computer generated shot - stick to beer or wine.
This is good!!. This was a great place for steaks. I had to wait a bit, it was on Friday, but after waiting about 20 minutes, I was seated and a waitress was by within 10 minutes. The never ending salad and rolls were great. The meal was served hot and in a timely manner. My son loved it because he was able to throw peanut shells on the ground and not get into trouble. Food was GREAT and the service was good too!
disappointing. went there in Mentor with family and ordered the 32 oz. steak. Family member ordered the 20 oz. My 32 oz was same exact size as the 20 oz at a much higher price. The management does not seem to care about customers and makes no effort to correct complaints. My family will never go there again.
The Roadhouse ROCKS!. The Roadhouse in Lyndhurst, on Mayfield Road is excellent! The steaks are HUGE and juicy and incredibly tasty. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff there has always been super friendly and efficient. I eat out quite a bit, and I'm telling everyone, the salad, the hot rolls, the huge potatoes...you get a lot for your money. They don't charge extra for the salad like the "other" steakhouses. Although they have practically no parking up front, they do have parking in back.. TRY THEM FOR LUNCH!! Their lunches are cheap and they have a ton of new items!
User review by traveltimm. I think these are delicious steaks...and WOW is everything BIG! I love the difference the wood fired grill makes on the steaks. Country atmosphere I could probablly do without but D*** these steaks are great......Bar needs a little work though! Overall styling!
