Being disabled and a loyal customer doesn't seem to matter.
I have purchased food from Dino's (Willoughby) several times over the years. Obviously they have some menu items that I truly enjoy or I wouldn't have kept going back. (I especially LOVE their baked
eggplant dinner!)
However, due to physical limitations and other medical problems, it's very difficult for me to eat IN a restaurant so I always have to get "take out". Friends and family are always willing to get my orders for me when they frequent the restaurant or will make a special pick up for me if I ask them to. I would also order from them whenever I had company.
PROBLEM: Dino's sent me a coupon for my 60th birthday offering a discount on my next meal. When I called to place my order, explaining to the girl that I was unable to eat in restaurants and would be getting "take out" , I was told that they would not honor the coupon. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I left a message & my number previously for Pat, but instead of calling me and telling me himself they would not do it, he waited until I called back to try ordering again. That's when the girl who answered the phone said that Pat had said "NO".
I hate to complain but I was very disappointed since this particular dinner would have been for my 60th birthday and I was really looking forward to it. In spite of this incident, I do recommend them for their food, however, I won't be ordering from them anytime soon.
I don't know how they treat their "in house" customers so I can't comment on that.…
poor customer care. I was a guest at Dino's on 8/16/08. I was directed by Dino's staff to park in a back lot as the primary parking was full. Following the reception, I obtained a hotel room and did not return to my car until morning. The lot I'd parked in is Lakeland Community College property. As a consequence, my car was ticketed and towed (173 dollars). I contacted Pat, the owner and manager of Dino's, who laughed into the phone and told me he and his staff are in no way responsible for my inability to read a poorly placed "no overnight parking" sign (Sign is to the right of entrance, I parked to the left). Had I not been directed to the lot, I never would have parked there. Pat was disrespectful and confrontational during our phone conference. He made no attempt at amending the situation. Based simply on his treatment of people in this unfortunate circumstance, I would never recommend this restaurant. Take your business to someone who cares about their clientele.…
