Editorial Review for Fahrenheit – by Charles Cassady
The Scene
Chef Rocco Whalen, a Wolfgang Puck student, retuned a short-lived piano-bar venture in Tremont (the former 88 Keys) into his own culinary symphony. The very-visible Rocco often mingles with guests. His lively open kitchen, adjacent to the elegant, art-deco dining area, is so unobstructed you might accidentally walk right into it while perusing the plaques and framed news clips on the wall.
The Food
Appropriately named, Fahrenheit indicates the temperatures of Chef Rocco's recipes: gourmet pizzas prepared at 600 degrees, pasta at 212, seafood and steaks at 1,000, and a collection of specialty martinis at 36. The margarita ranks the best among pizzas, and the butternut squash ravioli puts a unique, flavorful twist on an old standard. Whalen's goat-cheese salad is a fresh, superb starter.

we had a fab time here last night! there was a mixup on opentable where a table showed open for 6:30, but it wasn't. the hostess called me right away to let me know they actually didn't have any tables. we decided to go anyway and see if we could get a seat at the bar. we did - and shannon comped us a round of drinks for the table mishap and we enjoyed our dinner at the bar. the goat cheese/lobster fondue, short ribs & seabass were awesome! we want to say a BIG thank you to shannon (the hostess/manager?) who really made our experience - the place would've been totally different without her - she noticed when the waitress hadn't taken our order and we were ready, dropped yellow roses off for me and my mom. She went above and beyond to make sure we still had a good time despite the reservation mixup (which actually ended up being no big deal anyway!) the only negative part of our night at fahrenheit was a snooty bartender/waitress who was visibly annoyed with other staff (rolling her eyes, criticizing how fast they were moving/making drinks) and was only paying attention to certain customers. Finally, once another bartender/waitress stepped in - we felt more attended to. But despite that, WE highly recommend this place!
Pros: Food, decor, drinks, an overly attentive manager-hostess!
Cons: too big for her britches bartender

My boyfriend and I went here for our one really nice night out while visiting Cleveland on a long holiday. We are from Chicago, and wanted to try a place that would remind us of our trendy city, but not as expensive. It ended up being absolutely wonderful. Definitely recommended if you love trendy restaurants in little cute neighborhoods. The only problem was getting a cab home after we bar hopped after dinner. Even though our bar called one, and called it in a second time, we ended up on the street for 45 mins before we ended up steeling someone else's cab.
Pros: inexpensive for high quality food
Cons: not in downtown, hard to get transportation if not driving
