Get cozy with friends and family and enjoy an Italian feast at this loved-by-locals restaurant..
In Short
Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon Appetito!
Bad attitude towards seniors. We went to the Mayfield Heights location on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The music was so loud I couldn't hear the waitress, and I asked them to turn it down. There was only one other couple in the place, so the volume wasn't required. I was told they were "working" on the music, but the volume was never turned down. I gathered from the help's attitude that they thought we were senile and would soon forget that we had made the request. I would never go back, and have been telling all my senior friends to avoid this place. The food was okay, but it wasn't worth it because of how rudely we were treated. I e-mailed their website twice but they never replied. No manners.
Not Romantic. Buca di Beppo is great restaurant, don't get me wrong. However, I have absolutely no idea why this place is #3 on a top-10 list of romantic restaurants in Cleveland. Buca is a family restaurant. It is intended for large groups of family, friends, and/or co-workers. The portions are quite large, and the intention is to divide them among the multiple people at the table. They do have some tables-for-two, but not too many. The menu has a very limited assortment for a party of two. To make a long story short, I love Buca di Beppo, but I wouldn't take my fiance there on Valentine's Day.
Romantic?. Chain italian at best. Hardly a romantic setting. Great place for a large group due to the "family style" menu.
Horrible. Buca di Beppo is a family restaurant, there is nothing romantic about this loud, obnoxious place to dine. If you are looking for a lot of food than this place get's the job done. I would never recommend this place for a date or any special occassion.
wont recommend.
service was bad, they were very aggitated that we were never there and didnt know about "family portions" and absolutely would not let us have separate bills, even though each family had there own meal and didnt share, they were rude, and so was the manager, I will not ever recommend it, and I certainly will never go there again.
The food was mediocre, wasnt anything to brag about, I have had way better Italian, I say try Santo's on Pearl Rd in Middleburg Hts. they have great sauce, chicken parmesan and absolutely try the Chicken Santo, very very good
eurotrash...... Decent food. Service is terrible, staff worries too much about their own apperance and what their doing after work than actually doing their job!! They must think their doing YOU a favour by waiting on you!
buca di GARLIC. Yum Yum Yum... I love garlic and I love this joint. Fun and loud... One time we got a bad server but the food was still good and we all had a good time. If you like LARGE portions and garlic you will like Buca di Beppo. I am telling you, though, you can't go to work the next day because you WILL smell of garlic!!! YUM YUM YUM... not a place to go if you are looking for romance. This is for parties of 4 or more looking to be loud and eat a lot.
