GONE. Alice Cooper'stown is now Local Hero's. Cooperstown has been gone now for over two years!! The new restaurant is very nice, but, totally different!
Not there anymore. Went to see the place as we were traveling to the Cleveland area in April 2008. On one a hotel site, this restaurant was listed as being in Elyria, OH, (30 minutes outside of Cleveland). Our hotel was in Elyria, one of the main reasons that we stayed at the hotel....Turns out the hotel site was wrong. The restaurant was in Cleveland by the stadium, approx one year ago! It is now a bar/grill called "Local Heroes". We did not end up going to Local Heroes as we were looking for Cooper'stown. Very disappointed as we are big fans. Only location of Cooper'stown now appears to be in Arizona.
There's nothing shocking at this rocker's sports bar and grill, just hearty servings and a menu deep with pub food.
In Short
Music wasn't all legendary rocker Alice Cooper had in mind when he opened Cooper'stown across from Jacobs Field. There are televisions at every vantage point and Indians memorabilia on the walls, but you don't have to be a jock for the food to rock. The Grateful Burger features 'shrooms, bacon and swiss, Billion Dollar Baby Back Ribs are a house favorite, and the desserts can be found under the "Sweet Emotion" part of the menu.
