A bad chain. We have tried Buca di Beppo on severa occasions. This is strictly chain food, frozen, etc.. Not good at all. With all the good family owned Italian places in Cleveland why bother!

Do not go in a large group. A group of us from work decided to go because of we had heard this place was amazing. I would have to say the salad was the bomb, drinks were okay, and the food was favorful and more than we could finish. With that being said the service was horrible. We called two weeks ahead and booked a table for nine. After we got there it took forever to get our drink orders from the bar, and food took even longer. We finally got our food and the manager came to our table and said that our reservation was only good for a certain time and they had a reservation for that table in 15 minutes. She went on to explain that the we should have never been allowed to book their precious "Pope Table" because there were only nine of us and the minimum was twelve. We informed the manager that we did not request this table and noone had told us that there was a time limit, or a minimum number to make the reservation. Needless to say they packed our food up and relocated us to a very cramped table in the back of a very small room. Frustrated we asked for our check and then continued to wait an additional 30 minutes before we could pay. We knew the prices were expensive and most of us had saved up for this special occasion which ended in much frustration. I still can't believe that the manager was rude to us and made us leave our table due to an error made by her staff. We would have been happy with any table that would have given us enough room to converse and honestly didn't like having the very creepy statue of the Pope glaring at us during the entire evening. The thing was huge and we could not see each other from accross the table. Not to mention our server would dissappear for long periods of time and then we were blamed for over staying our welcome. VERY poor customer service!!!!! You never have an attitude with your customers because your staff made a mistake. If they had to move us she should have come to the table and apologized for the mistake, and maybe even offered us a free dessert. I have never paid to be insulted and will never do it again.

Buca Di NoNo!!. The very first time going to this restaurant! When I arrived with my fiance, the hostess was not super friendly and when we clearly asked her for a booth, she called upon a male waiter to escort us to a table and we had tell the waiter that we asked the hostess for booth. Staff is semi-friendly, restaurant walls too cluttered with photos and the restaurant could use more lighting throughout. The food, on a scale of 1-10, we would give it a 2, for number of persons writing this review. The portions are larger than most other italian restaurants, but the prices are too high for the quality of food, period!! If you want italian, you would be better off going to the grocery store, buying a loaf of garlic bread, a box of spaghetti and a jar of Prego, "It's in there.," which would be a lot thicker than chopped up boiled tomatos and water seasoned with salt and pepper, and call it a night!! Save your hard earned money!! Save yourselves of severe disappointment!! We have learned a very valuable lesson today.

Get cozy with friends and family and enjoy an Italian feast at this loved-by-locals restaurant.. In Short
Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon Appetito!

Good for kids and family gatherings. Buca's is an incredibly average restaurant. Service is very good. The ambiance is good. I like walking through the kitchen. The prices are ok. Kids love it and it is very good for family gatherings. However, the food here tends to be very mediocre. Not bad, just not great - "average". If you love simple pastas in fairly simple sauces with lotsa garlic, you will like Buca's. If you try one of their more complex dishes, you may not be satisfied.

I'll admit, I am a "regular". Buca is my favorite restaurant. The service is always great and many servers recognize my family when we come in. I think we qualify as "regulars". It's great to know that there is always a great place to eat with friendly service waiting for us at Buca di Beppo.

They've got family style and single size dinners too!. I've been to Buca di Beppo many times and like the family style portions. Now that the location in Strongsville is open for lunch, they have single portions too which is great and makes it easy for two people with different tastes to order seperately. I recently found out that the dinner menu will now be available for single size portions. This was a great move on their part so no matter what size your party is, Buca is the place to go.

Quality and Quantity. Buca di Beppo serves family style portions that are delicious! I always take home leftovers that still taste as good the next day. Everytime I have dinned there it has been a good experience. I love the Italian music and wacky and tacky pictures. It makes me feel like I'm in Little Italy. If you're looking for quality and quantity for a reasonable price, I suggest you check out buca!
