I used this Eddie and his crew and he was on time and quoted a price and stuck to it. But he forgot the screws to the dresser mirror and did not offer any cash back. Also my 4 gold rings were stolen.
Great price same day saved me from another mover who cancelled, thanks eddie
I just used apartment mover co. this morning to move my 90 year old mother to an assisted living home and I must say they are professional in every way. They prefer cash only. I asked why only cash and Ryan the lead mover gentleman said to many bad checks. I must say for the price they charge they can not afford bad checks. Their prices are the best I could find. $165.00 was the total price, I am impressed. I also admit I have written a bad check in my 53 years on this planet. I do not like taking checks from strangers either.
I used Apartment Mover co. this past Wednesday 2-6-2013 and I must say they did a great job. Nothing damaged and the price was exactly what they quoted over the phone. I highly recommend this company for your next move.
They used shrink wrap on virtually everything even moved a couple of items at no extra charge. I asked if they could move my daughters bed to another room and they took the bed apart and moved it to the next room and put it back together
with out a problem. They gave me an exact price quote at a great price, they ask that you get everything packed up and ready to be moved for your best price. They came with a 15' truck and 3 guys and this move was the best and most efficient move I have ever done. Talk about saving money I am all smiles.
Very rude and unprofessional! This is my first move and they were my first call as I priced moving companies. The guy was very short on the phone with me but I got a quote for a Saturday move and continued calls. I called back a few hours later to see if they offered a different rate for a weekday move as this seemed fairly common from my other calls. The same man I spoke with earlier said everyday was the same. I asked what kind of moves qualified for their $130 starting rate, which they heavily advertise. Apparently, asking a reasonable question sends this guy into a belligerent tirade. He said they don't negotiate, talked about liability insurance, told me to call someone else, then said he "hated people like this" to the person with him before hanging up on me. ...If this is how Apartment Mover Co. treats potential customers, I can only imagine their service quality if hired.
Just used Eddie and his crew last weekend. Found them on craigslist. He was fast to respond, gave me a flat rate of $280. Showed up with 2 other guys total of 3 on time, calling ahead of time to confirm!
Went over the details and started working. They were done loading up the truck in 30 minutes!!
I was amazed and very impressed. I would recommend these guys to anyone. Very happy customer.
I used Eddie and his crew this summer moving from the warehouse district to Lakewood and after using another moving crew today (I had to change days and only had a day's notice, so they weren't available) I can while heartedly recommend Apartment Movers!
The owner and his two helpers arrived ready to get to business- Eddie went over specifics with me and gave me a written estimate letting me know the amounts of each item (ie $2.50/box etc) and had me sign off and they got to work cling wrapping (didn't charge me extra) some items and started loading the truck. It had to be 90°+ and they never skipped a beat! After everything was loaded they met me in Lakewood and unloaded everything in my new place, sorting by room and everything! Those poor guys were soaked after seriously hustling for three hours in the heat!!
There were a few scratches and scrapes here and there but honestly, nothing more than my brother and Dad did originally moving me in and like everything else in the world you get what you pay for. This time around I made sure to buy my own cling wrap (Amazon has great deals btw) and wrapped everything up like I was Dexter Morgan. Best thing I could have done cause these other guys were a total joke (Budget Movers through U-Haul - errr!!)
**Bottom line- I would (and have) recommended Apartment Movers to anyone who's looking for a cheap efficient move. Anything super fragile you should protect and yourself or pay a high end moving company. But for $250 it was the best money I ever spent! Plus not hearing my dad complain about moving me again and just sitting back watching someone do all the hard work was worth three times that!! :)
PS I work in advertising and Eddie and I were discussing the reviews, I know for a fact many business do leave their own favorable reviews or bash competitors BUT this isn't the case here. I gave them my card and a few days later received a professional email asking me to leave a review if my experience with links. I'm ashamed to say I waited until I had a bad experience with another company to compliment these guys.
Very unprofessional, disorganized, intimidating and extremely rude. I called 2 weeks ahead to reschedule and he said: "You don't sound serious, Go find someone else" and hung up the phone. So how would I describe this type of business? I read the negative reviews and knew exactly what they are talking about. Now I am wondering who writes those positive ones??
And then last, why would he insist on taking cash and only cash ?? and that is the first thing you will be told.
Here is my recommendation: DO not use this person. He needs to learn simplest business practices.
Done right the first time – Use these guys! I moved my 2 bedroom apt and Ed shot me a good price. I didn't exactly count boxes, I guessed 70. When Apt Mover showed up, they counted 54 (they even combined 3 small boxes as one box cause they all fit inside one half empty box), so Eddie subtracted the price of16 boxes from my total and I paid less than my estimate. I like that kind of service. Very fair, on time, careful, good job!
