I would like to take this opportunity to share the details of my family’s visit to Dianna's Deli on Mother’s Day. We arrived at 10:30 & were seated within 3 minutes despite the line of customers. A great start. We ordered at 10:40 & waited 55 minutes for our food. While the restaurant was busy on account of it being Mother’s Day, it wasn’t overcrowded by any means. After 55 minutes, I expect my food to be hot when I get it. My sister’s French toast was cold. When she told the server, the server looked at my sister like she was surprised that was a problem. Thus, my sister cancelled her order completely. My brother & I ordered similar omelets from the menu. When the server delivered them, she couldn’t tell which one was his & which one was mine. She proceeded to use my brother’s fork to pick apart his omelet on his plate right in front of him in order to determine if he had the right one. He was completely freaked out by this action & ate less than half of his meal. He didn’t even touch the omelet. My mother ordered a waffle with apple topping & a side of bacon only to receive a bowl of almost frozen apples & raw bacon. My omelet was undercooked so I did not eat it. My hash browns were burnt so I didn’t eat that either. No one came over to refill our drinks. No one brought us syrup, ketchup, or hot sauce so we took it upon ourselves to get our own. Other customers were also seen refilling their own coffee cups. At checkout, the cashier asked me how everything was and I told him it sucked. His reply was that “It was as good as it was going to be.” Now I don’t know what in the hell that is supposed to mean, but if my cashier said that to a customer, I would have slapped him & then fired him on the spot. I forced myself to leave without making a scene instead of dragging him out to the parking lot. I can assure you of one thing & that is that no member of my family will ever come to Dianna’s Deli again, & we will never suggest it to anyone we know.
