Nice Stay on the Hospital Campus – Very nice stay on the Cleveland Clinic campus with shuttle bus service every 15 minutes. The rooms are nice and clean and service is very good, the great staff here are wonderful and do their best to help make you feel comfortable. If you find the restaurant or room service too expensive other options are within 3 to 5 minutes walking distance. Just ask Khalid at the front door and he will direct you where to go! You also can order out for delivery...
We flew in without a car so it was essential to stay close to the Hospital. We stayed for 3 weeks and overall enjoyed our stay at "the suites".
Great Hotel BUT... – It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!
what they offer they do not necessarily give to you – My friend and I went to Cleveland for one night for a concert. We were really tired when we got back, due to traffic and hours standing up and dancing, so we tried to order room service when we got back to our room. We had looked at the desserts beforehand and were craving one by the time we returned. Luckily, the hotel said room service was offered 24/7 'at your convenience'. When I called for it, they seemed really confused I was asking for some food and put me on hold to go see if the dessert we wanted was available (even though it was on the roomservice menu). Then the front desk called back and said they were COMPLETELY OUT OF ALL THE FOOD. It was ALL GONE. I asked where the vending machines were and they said they had none. We were left with only an ice machine. It was really depressing, luckily I had a granola bar in my suitcase but I was really confused by the whole situation. The next morning when we were leaving our room, we saw room service trays outside in the hall. Let's just say they didn't brighten our spirits very much. I would not recommend this place. I was very disappointed.
Hotel brings new meaning to taking care of the sick. – The Scene
The Inter-Continental has a partnership with the Cleveland Clinic, offering lodging for patients and guests. The rooms have been designed to achieve privacy, and the living space is quite cozy and functional. Room service provided from the hotel restaurant Citrus offers both mainstay eggs-and-toast to lobster, steak and a complete wine list. The lobby also has put together a remarkable leather-bound restaurant guide with pictures and menus from every notable dining establishment in Cleveland, covering both the East and West side.
Because the Inter-Continental suites have been designed for recovering patients, the rooms are loaded with amenities: kitchenette with a microwave, two televisions and a phone in the bathroom. It seems as if pampering is what the hotel is in the business for, so whether sick or well, the Inter-Continental is devoted to maximizing your health.
We recently found ourselves having to drive to Cleveland, arriving in the middle of the night from New York, while my husband was being flown in to the Clinic's Heart Center ICU.
Having never been to Cleveland, and in a less than functional state of mind, we found the Inter-continental Suite Hotel to be a God Send. They catered to our every need, and were available to drive us any where we wished. When my husband was discharged, they sent a car within 5 minutes, and escorted us back to our suite, leaving us nothing to worry. They even provided a Healthy Heart menu.. We will plan all of our future stays at the inter-continental.
