Excellent live entertainment. The Spitfire is a throwback to the early days of the DIY music scene. Hardly ever a cover charge, almost always some form of entertainment any given Friday and Saturday night. Incredible selection of beers with everything from a highbrow import to a lowbrow can of PBR. The staff is very friendly, the owners seem to be around quite a lot, the juke box is loaded with punk music, the DJ's (when they have them) are music geeks and have a vast knowledge of the punk and indie rock genres. So if punk is your thing it is a great place to go. The place granted is a little on the dumpy side but I say that adds that much more to the ambiance of the experience they provide. The patrons are friendly, no fights, no one scary and no one showing off beer muscles. It's just a nice place to go on the weekends especially to check out some of Cleveland punk, indie and underground scene. They have national acts play there as well as hometown favorites like the struttin' c*cks (haha, this site will not let me use the word c-*-c-k-s, that's great), and other bands from Columbus, Akron, Cleveland and anywhere inbetween.
