Tips for Rocky River Urgent Care

March 11, 2013

Dr. Smith literally saved my life. I had been fighting the stomach flu for 5 days and wasn't getting better. Dr. Smith examined me but didn't find anything. He drew some blood that showed I was having pancreatitis and got me to go to ER where they told me if it had gone on much longer I would have died. I don't know how to adequately thank a man who just saved my life, but Dr. Smith can count on me as a patient for life.

WOW....what started as a sore throat and fever, stuffed up nose, chest congestion and the start of an ear infection was diagnosed as asthma by Dr. Smith. I did not know asthma is contagious because my daughter, husband and 3 co-workers have the same symptoms. I guess thats the kind of diagnosis one should expect after about a 75 second exam. Good thing he told me to follow up with my primary care doctor if I still wasn't feeling well because thats what I am going to have to do to get a real diagnosis.Oh and I spent 40 minutes in the waiting area before I was even acknowledged. This after someone else walked in and pretty much went straight back because he knew one of the nurses. Here is my tip: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Another horrible experience. After waiting for an hour...I finally saw the "doctor"...he walked said hi wrote a prescription and left! I can't believe it. I asked him "ummmm don't you want to check out this rash I have all over my back?" He said "Nope...this stuff will take care of it.

They charged me $100 and the medicine cost $4.

It took me longer to write this review...and the doctor has a really nice sports car in the parking lot so you can feel extra bad about how he screwed you over

Thanks Dr. Smith. I went to the Urgent Care the other day. I hadn't been feeling too well so I went on webmd (big mistake). By the time I finished reading I was convinced I was about to die. I don't have a doctor or insurance so I went to the Urgent Care to see what could be done. Dr. Smith took the time to listen to me and checked me out briefly. He assured me that I was ok and then told they wouldn't charge me for the visit. I was shocked. First he tells me I'm going to be ok and the he doesn't even charge me for it. I can't thank Dr. Smith and the staff at the Rocky River Urgent Care enough. They were really so kind.

WORST DOCTORS VISIT EVER. Worst Experience Ever! Dr. Smith was nasty and rude. The nurses were slow, and very unpleasant as well, like I was ruining their day. I used the restroom and there was urine on the seat and around the toilet, when I came out to give them my sample, there were urine samples from other patients lined up all next to each other. I had to squeeze my way through the workers complaining, to wash my hands. They asked me questions in front of the whole waiting room about my personal status!! There were spider webs, and yellow ceilings tiles everywhere. I waited in the room for 45 minutes until Dr. Smith stomped in the door. I was in the office for a bladder infection and he questioned me as if I were lying. I was completely disgusted with this Office, and I cannot believe they're still in business. Me and my family will NEVER return again.

Compassionate Care. I'm not sure what that last guy is complaining about. Some things need to go to the ER. That's why they're there and these people desrve to go home to their families too. They're open like 12 or 13 hours a day but he expects them to stay even longer so he doesn't have to wait in the ER? Incredible.

As for the Rocky River Urgent Care, I had a great experience. I'd gotten a splinter in my finger and tried to take it out myself. After a couple of days it started hurting worse. Doctor Smith was very understanding since I HATE needles, and managed to get the remaining splinter out and I was doing great in a couple of days. I can't thank Dr. Smith and his staff enough.

Rude. This was my first time going to the rocky river urgent care and I will never go there again. Overall bad experience. The front desk staff was rude and unprofessional. The clerk in signed me in was complaining to her co-worker about how busy they were that day. She even complained when the phone rang. You are treated like a burden not a patient seeking care. A cold, uncaring group of people. Like I said I will not seek treatment there again!

Appalling lack of care. I have been a patient there numerous times over the years for illnesses. On 6/28/2011, I broke my arm in a bicycle accident a block from their office, and showed up at their door at 8:28pm. They have a sign posted outside the front door that says they take their last patient for the day at 8:30. When I tried the door, it was already locked. I knocked and a nurse/receptionist came to the door and refused to treat me, and referred me to an ER. She didn't so much as give me a band aid or ice. This delayed me getting any treatment by about two hours. There are some for whom medicine is a calling, a mission, a duty, and for others it is just a job. I'm appalled at the lack of humanity evident in the way this business (I no longer consider it as anything but a business) operates.

Amazing Doctor. I rarely get sick, so I don't have a doctor. I woke up Saturday with a killer sore throat. I tried the usual stuff but nothing was helping. I thought about going to the ER, but knew I'd be there all day. That's when I remembered the Urgent Care in Rocky River. I got there and they swabbed my throat and put me in a room. Dr. Smith came in and told me the test said it wasn't strep but that my throat looked bad so he started me on an antibiotic. He was so nice, and they work so fast over there. Instead of losing a whole day in the ER I was out of there in less than an hour. I never dreamed a doctors visit could be so easy.

Amazing. I just took my child to the Rocky River Urgent Care and I was so impressed. I was a little intimidated by all the cars when we got there, but they started me on paper work and before I could finish they had us in a room. Dr. Smith came in and listened to what was wrong and then looked at my child and told me it was an ear infection. He was so nice about it. We got a prescription and were on our way. I love Dr. Justin Smith.
