There is the Italian name, the Moroccan section of the menu, pastas, etc... However they do what they do spot on. I love the flavouring of the Hanger Steak which is served in a little broth with some muscles and spicy mini meatballs and potato fingerlings. The steak is always cooked just how I request it and is very flavourful. I've now had it here twice and I love it. I tasted the pastas of the people I was with and was pleasantly surprised by the richness and uniqueness of those flavours as well. This place never seems that busy to me so today I was glad to see a full patio and maybe half a dozen tops filled inside. If you are looking for a good patio this one is on E4th St which is a very nice area to people watch, drink and enjoy the atmosphere before heading off to do other downtown activities. The service doesn't stand out as the best you'll ever have but there is nothing wrong with it - the waiters are friendly and the assistants keep the glasses full. There is valet parking and with a restaurant receipt the valet will give you (and who ever you are with) $7 of the $15 valet fee back. I definitely enjoyed my experienced and hope I can get in here again soon.
The kebab was cooked to absolute perfection and the meat had just the right amount of fat to stave off dryness. The hangar steak with bay scallops was accompanied with a delicious vinegar reduction of some kind. Portions were acceptable, and the beer was extremely cold. Totally recommend this place
LaStrada is located in a very ideal
spot on East 4th Street Downtown Cleveland; It is quite beautiful and romantic.
I had the rack of Lamb with coucous and found it to be very delicious and quite filling; my sister and girlfriend both had Kabobs chicken and lamb and although they were very tasty they were both still hungry after eating.
I will definitely go back as I enjoyed the ambience and my food.
La Strada has a very cool mood to it,
with a Mediterranean look and an upstairs balcony where you can eat overlooking the first floor at sort of a diner counter or get a table.
The food was pretty tasty, too. Very good lamb kafta kebab. It had terrific seasoning and was extremely tender. The charred tomato chutney it came with was delicious. The greek salad was also good
Dinner was great. The Fettuccini was done to perfection as was the ravioli. The portions were enough to be filling but still have room for dessert. It was a great dining experience.
The ambiance is first rate with small
statues and sculptures, muted colors, and faux exposed brick behind stucco. Very inviting. The ceiling is painted like an evening sky and reminded me a bit of Ceasers in Vegas. It is a really nice touch as it makes the upstairs balcony seem like it is outdoors which is a very pleasant experience when it is 5 degrees outside.
Any time I try a new Italian restaurant I order the pasta marinara. If you can't make a great marinara then you don't deserve to call yourself an Italian restaurant. The waiter was efficient and pleasant and I am happy to report that the pasta was very good. Cooked al dente with a light flavorful sauce. I even sopped up what was left with the Delicious bread. Being the sister restaurant of La Dolce Vita I had high hopes and I was not disappointed. Actually, the sauce seemed a little lighter and fresher at La Strada. A stronger flavor of basil which I really liked.
Another important point is that we never felt rushed, but we were also out in time to get back to work within the hour we have for lunch.
Vegetable kabobs and fettitinni were excellent! Beer selection was great and the cherry lime martinis were zippy and refreshing. Great location with cool ambience and had different music selection for this type of restaraunt. We'll be back again!
