Find somewhere else to stay..
When they say 'expect the unexpected' = do not expect to feel welcomed or cared for. First room shown to reeked of backed up plumbing. Had to beg 3x day for towels, etc. Torn top sheet. Ran out of food at breakfast (not that it was all that great - I have had better at Hampton Inns). Held a real estate sales pitch during breakfast! Really need to educate some staff on meaning of service. A couple of staff were exception (bell man & bar maid = great). Good location for some things - but mostly isolated - and no room service etc. allowed from next door/only close restaurant. So, you get a bed, but don't count on breakfast or anything else.

An early 20th-century French gothic mansion turned elegant B&B..
The Scene
Built as a home in 1910 by the paint-making Glidden family, Glidden House opened as a hotel in 1989 and now bills itself as a bed-and-breakfast. But it's really more like a gracious European-style inn. Guest rooms and public areas are decorated in muted pastels and light neutrals.
The Details
It's an integral part of this erudite neighborhood, often accommodating weddings, meetings, and visiting lecturers and doctors from nearby colleges, hospitals, museums and performance venues. Each room or suite is different, but all retain the building's original architectural features. Service is personalized but unobtrusive. Breakfast is served in intimate dining rooms behind French doors.
