In Short
Decorated in a dark, Tudor-styled motif with stained-glass windows and Oktoberfest-themed decor, this bar is a little bit of Bavaria in L.A. Head to the main room downstairs if you're looking for a mellow, German atmosphere. A little too mellow? Go upstairs for a merrier vibe. Walk into the beer garden in a bad mood and the friendly service and atmosphere is guaranteed to turn your mood festive.

We've gone through the German (or "German", as some proved to be!) restaurants in LA, and this is by far the best. The beer selection sports proper weißbier, and the menu has some excellent German items - the potato salad was definitely something I'd recommend! We actually had a decent-sized surprise party here, with 17 people, and the management was excellent in organizing the room for us (which is cozy but has real character - perfect for groups under 20!). Our waitress was rude and useless at the beginning, but a quick word to the manager on duty and he fixed that extremely quickly! In fact, he came in off his break and helped her out, so all the guests had dinner in less than 20 minutes! The parking is extremely limited, which can be a problem on busy occasions, but we've always found parking on the street, so don't let this put you off. German food is great - if you're into good German beer and food (which we certainly are) then look no further than this in LA!
Pros: Great selection of draft beers, and authentic German beers, food is really good, atmosphere is great, especially the beer garden upstairs!
Cons: Not much restaurant parking, but have always found a spot on the road.
