We have had great experiences at the new Sorrento. The decor is warm and classy. Our salads were fresh and the house dressing is great. The pizza and foldovers are outstanding. Lorain County is lucky to have such an awesome Italian food establishment! We will be back again and again!

I think folks are commenting on the old place. This is what I posted on the new place:

Sorrento's food almost doesn't make sense to the low price. It's excellent--better than a number of places that cost a lot more.

The pasta dishes fall largely within the range of the basics you'd expect at an Italian place of this style. And they are executed with excellence.

I'd say it's worth driving an extra exit or two to eat at a quality local restaurant like this. I've only been a few times, but this is quickly becoming a family destination for us.

Want hairy food?. My wife and I went to Sorrento's for dinner before a play. We made reservations so we would be seated quickly. It took about ten minutes before our waitress even acknowledged us and took our drink order. After placeing our order, It was a good fifteen minutes before we got salad and bread. My wife noticed there was a long black hair on the basket and mentioned it to our waitress. She apologized and took it away only to return ten minutes later with a single roll. At this point, it was forty five minutes since we placed our order. (Pizza and pasta) Upset and nearly running later for our play; we kindly asked to be charged for the salad and drinks. Our waitress responded with a surly attitude and no apologies; only if we'd be willing to wait an additional five minutes. We declined and were told to "just go" The food is a good value for the money, but make sure you are not charged extra for the hair.

Amazing food! Great Service!. My family stopped here recently and were treated to an excellent evening of great food. The pasta is very authentic, and the overall experience was a pleasure. It was surprisingly crowded for late in a weeknight; leading me to believe it is not a secret how good this is.
