I love barb&pattys meat market, I wanted to comment on the delicious ham I got for christmas, everything I have bought has been excellent and their staff is wonderful! I read that other comment I can't believe that person would complain about 50 cents, I think they are the greedy one. Why would someone be upset over 50 cents? I just got my Lake County property taxes and it says you can pay with a credit card for a 3% Fee!! I love supporting our local small businesses, they deserve all the help they can get.

We've been patrons of this butcher shop ever since they opened. Until this very day, I've been satisfied with everything. Today, I was amazed at how greedy these folks can be. I bought a prime rib and spent a little ove 60 dollars and was about to pay with my bank card and was informed by a rude counter girl that as of Nov. 1st, I had to give them another 50 cents to use my bank card. When I questioned this, she got real surly and said "if You want to vent, vent to the owner". She then proceeded to tell me they pay 3% to accept cards. First of all, the amount of business they do, (you have to take a number), dictates they should be paying more like 1.5 or 1.6%. If not, they need a better card service, rather than penalizing their customers. Whe n prompted by this rude clerk to again, "vent to the owner", I immediately told her that I vent by never spending another dime in Barb and Patty's again. For 50 cents, they've lost my business and whoever else I can convince that their greed doesn't warrant a loyal customer.

Best Place to Purchase Meat and Lunch Meat. Barb and Patty's is the best place to buy meat. All of the staff is very helpful. Jimmy, the owner's son, is very nice to deal with.
