Absolutely Wonderful. Nuevo Acapulco is the BEST Mexican Restaurant in Ohio! I have been dining there for the past 9 years. The food is always excellent, the atmosphere is charming, and the service is GREAT. The owner of the restaurant makes everyone feel like family. I can't say enough good things about this place. :) Other restaurants should take example. I'm going to continue going there for years to come.

User review by jues98. My husband and I have been going to this place since we found it in '93. The best Mexican food around. Love the atomsphere and service.

My new manager and I. Thank you for being GREAT.. Food was great overall. Salsa was saucy and now puree like usually you get. It was OK.

I had the Tacos al Carbon and they were good. A little salty, but good flavors.

My manger had the combo fajitas and he liked the flavors a lot.

Like I said , thanks.

The location might throw you off, but just go right in and enjoy.

Good Food. I will be back.

Excellent Food. I've been going there ever since I found it, about 8 years ago. I have'nt found any other Mexican place that compares. A couple of my favorite dishes are the Tacos Carbon (steak) and the Nachos with ground meat. But I could go there and order almost anything off the menu and be happy. I can almost bet you will have leftovers to take home, because they give you so much. The prices are great, their Salsa is better than excellent. We make a trip out there just for Salsa and chips to take home. But If you one who likes jar Salsa then I suggest going to Chi Chi's or somewhere else cause this place isn't for you. But is you like Homemade, with all the seasonings including cilantro, please try this place. Thats nice, now I'm hungry for Nuevo. See you there.

Nuevo Acapulco. I'm from Texas and have had some of the best mexican food there. Out of all the mexican restaurants I've been to here in Cleveland, Nuevo is absolutely the best. The food is awesome and the staff is great! They are always friendly and great service is the norm. There's something about their margaritas that keeps everyone going back for more. Everyone I know loves Nuevo and I'm always taking new people there (or recommending it) to try it out. They always agree it's the best! It is worth the wait in line, by the way. The only thing I find that could use some improvement is the chips. The flavor is rather bland.

Excellent food & margaritas. I try not to judge a restaurant by the clientele, lest one become a snob, for this place is in a middle class suburb.

Poor parenting aside - the food here is very good for American Mexican food. Excellent price/value ratio. Some of the best margaritas I've ever had [and I've had alot!]

Taco Bell with table clothes. ORDINARY!

I gave it a 4 across the line because every thing about Nuevo Acapulco is just a little below average. Definetely for the Chi-Chi's and Taco Bell crowd.

The rumors are true: This West-side wallflower serves up south-of-the-border magic.. The Scene
No doubt serving as a nail in the coffins of the many stylish East siders who make the drive for authentic Mexican food, Nuevo exists as part of a ... Days Inn. Yes, it's a non-descript square building. Yes, it's on a non-descript stretch of Lorain Road. And yes, at one point it probably was some wannabe HoJo. But who cares if the only blue lagoons and white sand beaches are the ones painted on the walls? These days, it's all about the food.

The Food
Nuevo boasts some of the finest Mexican dishes in the city. Specialties include chorizo sausage wraps, marinated beef tacos al carbon, and excellent chicken and rice. The salsa is fresh and highly addictive--especially when the made-from-scratch condiment is accompanied by camarones, quesadillas, and enough corn chips to carpet centerfield at the Jake. Be careful: Many patrons have been known to overdose on its spicy sweetness, and end up toting home the majority of their entrees.

The Weekend Wait
On Friday and Saturday nights, the wait is long and noise levels approach that of an air-raid warning. The extended lines and short fuses will go best with a couple of tall Cuervos in the lounge.

Nuevo Acapulco. This place overall is really good. It's nice and cheap, and the taste is way better than Chi-Chi's. The portions are big enough to take home leftovers, unless you're like me and lack self control. :-) To me, the food is really good, except for one thing, it's not spicy enough. That's my own personal taste, though. One fave dish of mine I recommend is the Chorizos Con Huevos (Eggs and Suasage with tortillas). I've gone their several times and will keep going there for a while.
