This is the absolute BEST Chinese food around. I have been going to China Renaissance since 1997 at least once a week. The owner and his wife couldn't be nicer people and they have always served the very best Chinese food. North Olmsted is very fortunate to have a quality restaurant like China Renaissance.
Staying True. As a Chinese American who often longs for her mum's home cooking, I frequent this place, and it's no surprise that I do. China Renaissance is a family owned establishment that has been dishing out authentic tastes of China for nearly two decades. Now, I say "authentic" in that they use very traditional ways of cooking brown and white sauce and tend to use less sauce in their dishes so that you can taste the subtlety of flavors. Also, they only use hand cut high quality meats. I got to have a chat with one of the hostesses, and she told me that the chefs usually get in around 5:00am to prep all the meats and vegetables for the day. These people honestly care about what they're feeding their customers because they take pride in their food. A lot of their customers who live in New York and California will always stop in to have a bite when they're in town, and they always say that this is the best Chinese restaurant they've ever been to. So next time you're craving Chinese, take the time to check this place out. You'll be glad you did.
don't go if you are a vegetarian or want to avoid dishonest people. I have been to this restaurant several times. The food tastes good, but recently I found out that they use a meat stock for all sauces and soups. My whole family is vegetarian, no meat, no fish. We have told them every time that we are vegetarian and eat no meat, no fish. They lied to us each and every time, and by their own admission, they put a lot of msg in their food. I gave it two stars for taste, otherwise, no stars. Be careful about going to this place.
Best Chinese food in the MIDWEST!.
This is without a doubt, the best Chinese food in the Midwest! The food is always fresh , appealing and very tasty with a nice variety of dishes to choose from. The Sesame chicken and Mongolian Beef are mouth watering dishes. The homemade sweet and sour sauce is out of this world!
Our family of 6 ,with ages ranging from 9-50 agree that it's our favorite restaurant.
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Locals flock for authentic Chinese cuisine including vegetable, beef and chicken platters served in restaurant with single dining room.
Great Chinese Food. Family owned and operated, the food is fresh and excellent, with large portions. Especially good is the pork fried rice and the sesame chicken. Very nice atmosphere and friendly.
