The new ownership has now made this the best Indian food in Cleveland!. Went here to use our Entertainment book coupon only to find that it had changed ownership and is now called "Flavors of India." We were pleasantly suprised by the updated decor and cleanliness and were delighted to find that they still accepted our Entertainment card for Kashmir palace. The food is significantly better than the previous incarnation and unlike most Indian restaurants in Cleveland, the portions are generous, the rice is free and so are refills on canned soda pop! After eating generally mediocre, overpriced and overspiced Indian food since moving to Cleveland from western NY 18 months ago, my wife and were pleasantly suprised by the new Flavors of India and it is now our favorite restaurant in the area. The only changes I would suggest to the owner is installing some booths to break-up the open/cafeteria style seating plan that is so ubiquitous to strip mall asian restaurants in Cleveland, and replace the uninspired elevator music with something more authentic/Indian.
good lunch buffet. I've been to this restaurant for both the lunch buffet. We got there at noon and the restaurant was open, but they did not yet have all of the food on the buffet yet, so we had to wait for about 5 or 6 minutes. However once everything finally came we were very happy with it; all the food was hot and fresh and very tasty, especially the naan and tandoori chicken. We had a vegetarian with us and she was happy with it too (I believe they had spinich with paneer (cheese), some vegetables in a creamy sauce and a couple other things.) I disagre with the last reviewer about going to the mall instead. Going to Great Northern for lunch is about as relaxing as eating while driving in the car! So for a couple dollars more you can go to Kashmir Palace and have much better food, in a much better environment, and best of all its all you can eat!
Food and service was very bad.
I just went to Kashmir Palace indian restaurant for lunch today (01/14/2007) and food in this restaurant is worst I have ever had in United States.
I had lunch buffet and there were only two dishes initially in the buffet. The vegetable curry was OK, but the Chicken dish was smelling bad (I think it was from a week ago). There was only one waiter for the complete restaurant and the service was very bad.
I would not recommend anyone to waste time and money to go to this restaurant.
Instead you can spend $4.99 for fast food (Indian) two blocks away from this restaurant which is located in the North Olmstead mall.
Bravo!. Excellent Indian food. We have gone several times with another family and there is a semi-private room which is great for children. Food is fantastic, service good. The naan is so good we usually order several times more than we should. It is fantastic. We come from Shaker Heights all the way over to the west side just to eat here.
