Cool and Comfortable.. What an improvement i've seen. Great place to pop in for a moment or to spend an hour. It's clean, there are tables to sit at, free Wi-Fi and management who are polite and helpful. Go and sit outside on the patio when its warm ( and even when it's not - I do).
Great place to study, socialize, and mellow out..
I love this place, and it has the most adorable bakery. James the owner is really cool, professional but very friendly, and knows how to take care of his customers. You can tell that he works hard to make the place what it is.
The crowd, while largely of the gay/lesbian community, is actually a nice mix of just about everyone. It also has a really cute patio in front that makes for great people watching in the summer. :-)

Truffles, back to what a great coffee/pastry shop should be ... and it's under new ownership & management!. Truffles re-openned this week under new ownership and new management and it's a huge improvement. I talked to Susan and Mike, the new owners, they live in Lakewood and they want to bring Truffles back to what it used to be: a place where wonderful pastries are baked and served with the finest coffees and with an ambiance welcoming to the local community... so far, the improvements they've made show their dedication... I've been there each day and the pastries are fresh and the coffee is good. Oh yeah, and Susan is planning on openning earlier than 10am and also having soups, sandwiches, and more... I'm excited for the neighborhood... it's great to have a locally owned coffee house with owners that care.
Could be good... but wasn't. I was so looking forward to this place, and what a disappointment! the cakes were dry, and the coffee bitter. The outside looks nice, and the service was o.k, however, there are no truffles, no selection of pastries and cakes, only 2 chocolate, 1 carrot and a cheese cake.
This eclectic neighborhood's answer to Starbucks offers a relaxed vibe and home-baked treats..
The Scene
Cozy coffee shop features half-dozen tables with lamps--ideal for reading. In the warmer months, sit outside and catch some cool lake breezes. It has all the accoutrements for java needs, including house-brewed lattes, cappuccinos, teas, Italian sodas and other less-caffeinated beverages. The veggie chili comes with kidney beans, while hearty, homemade vegetable soup renders versions of the usual suspects; pair with a tuna or egg salad sandwich. Desserts include snickerdoodle cookies, chocolate mousse and muffins.
Cozy Lil' Coffee Spot!. Everything about Truffles is lovely! Great coffee, friendly service, beautiful array of pastries and other desserts. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable as well. Highly recommended!
Cake to die for. I love truffles!!! The service is always polite and not overbearing and in your face. If you choose to sit inside you don't have to compete with the music. They keep it at background level. If you choose to sit outside you will have the lovely gardern to view. The people watching is great inside or out.
Truffles.
I LIVE FOR TRUFFLES!!!
This is by far the best damn coffee shop in the Greater Cleveland area. I love the pastries, the drinks, the people. It's a great location, and a fabulous spot to people-watch in the summer. I just can't say enough about Truffles!
