The Scene – Cozy coffee shop features half-dozen tables with lamps--ideal for reading. In the warmer months, sit outside and catch some cool lake breezes. It has all the accoutrements for java needs, including house-brewed lattes, cappuccinos, teas, Italian sodas and other less-caffeinated beverages. The veggie chili comes with kidney beans, while hearty, homemade vegetable soup renders versions of the usual suspects; pair with a tuna or egg salad sandwich. Desserts include snickerdoodle cookies, chocolate mousse and muffins.

What an improvement i've seen. Great place to pop in for a moment or to spend an hour. It's clean, there are tables to sit at, free Wi-Fi and management who are polite and helpful. Go and sit outside on the patio when its warm ( and even when it's not - I do).
- Pros: Free Wi-Fi, drinks and desserts.

I love this place, and it has the most adorable bakery. James the owner is really cool, professional but very friendly, and knows how to take care of his customers. You can tell that he works hard to make the place what it is.
The crowd, while largely of the gay/lesbian community, is actually a nice mix of just about everyone. It also has a really cute patio in front that makes for <i>great</i> people watching in the summer. :-)
- Pros: Great service, nice people, good crowd, mellow, comfy
- Cons: Parking is a challenge at times...
