Tips for Chelsa Costumes

A Great Selection of Vintage Finds!. Lovers of twentieth century fashion will be thrilled to walk in here and find exactly what they were hoping for: what seems like every piece of clothing ever designed, arranged by decade and style. This historian's dream will take you a couple of hours to go through (my only complaint is that Chelsea's is literally crammed to the ceiling with merchandise, almost making it hard to sort through), but it's always worth the effort. A great place for pick-me-up shopping, a way to drop twenty bucks just for the fun of it, or a first stop if you need to locate just THE right blazer from the 1950's.

They also have an extensive costume rental booth (be sure to also check out Cleveland Shop across the street) and possibly the nicest saleslady/owner this side of town. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Put some flair in your wardrobe and walk down memory lane.. The Scene
Open since 1988, Chelsea's is housed in an old carbonic building (the carbonation process for soda). The store is a two-level facility with practically everything and anything relating to vintage clothing and costumes. Clothing ranges from the Victorian-era to the 1970s.

Volume, Volume, Volume
Chelsea's has a collection of costumes that might exceed Imelda Marco's shoe collection, with more than 100,000 costumes--ranging from Dracula, Victorian and zoot suit to Cleopatra and Mark Anthony.

Accessorize, Girl
Clothing is just one part of the get-up, you know. Accessories such as hats, purses, jewelry, shoes and Dracula blood are important too, and Chelsea's has them all.

Old Clothes, New Prices
A '60s dress can range from $15-$35 and a men's suit can go for around $35. Not bad for classics.
