Cozy, Old-School Steak Joint. Good cuts of meat and friendly service is what's kept people coming back to Ferris since 1940. Save room for the chocolate mousse cake.
Best Steak House in Town. Hands down the best steak house in town. I love the prime rib, my wife, the pork chops. They do things the right way with out ruining the meat with unnecessary 'rubs' or 'dust', you can do that when you serve the best cuts. Bruce and staff always make you feel right at home. Don't miss this gem.
Loved the service and expereince. the dining experience was great. our server Diane was amazing she was very attentize and kind she made us feel like we were family. We loved her funny sense of humor. The atmosphere is so relaxing and warm weather its 100 degrees or zero degrees its always a comfortable place to be. As far as the food it was great proably one of the best steaks i have ever have there is no comparissson. The location is terrible as much as i like coming there the neighborhood is getting worse and if continues to get bad I dont t hink i will be coming down there anymore
Not worth it if it was next door. Our last couple of visits to Ferris Steakhouse have been nothing less than gruesome. From the lousy service to the overcooked prime ribs, the reputation that Ferris once enjoyed is gone, at least from my perspective. This establishment has fallen into disrepair at all levels. Our waitress was not attentive and got much of the order wrong. The prime rib was not only overcooked but was so bad we had to send it back to the kitchen. My guess is that it was reheated in a microwave. We left paying for our salad, beverage and side dish. I am not sure why they have been receiving such high ratings recently, unless the place burned to the ground, was rebuilt and has new ownership. The experience was so bad during our last visit we made the choice never to return. Our last visit was in early 2008. For the price, this restaurant is a total rip-off and a stain on Cleveland?s reputation.
Best Filet in Ohio. I have travelled the country for business and have not found a better prepared filet anywhere (including in Texas). When I was new to Cleveland a year ago, I stopped in and found the owners and staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Since that time I have returned on at least a monthly basis with visiting friends and family and they have all enjoyed the experience and especially the food of this fantastic establishment. Great food and great people ? Ferris?s is a can?t miss.
This restaurant deserves the nothing less than a 5 star rating.. I am a band promoter and I had a band in from Los Angeles. The concert evening started off really bad with some technical difficulties that set us back and made us late for our 8:00 dinner reservation at Ferris Steak House. We arrived for dinner at Ferris at 8:45, and we had to eat dinner quickly so we could get back for the performance by 10:00. I am not sure whether the man that took care of us was the owner or the Manager, but what a great guy!! I could not believe the service we had that evening. Most restaurants on a Saturday night would not even serve a party of (11) 45 minutes late, but these people not only served us but rushed to get everything done in 1 hour. I was amazed at how well and experienced our server was, and all the meals were cooked PERFECT!!! I had the petite filet mignon and it was the best I've ever had. There is no way no how anyone could ever say this restaurant has bad food. They are mixed up with another place. Please take my word. This place is 5 star, and the best steak house in Cleveland. I am very anxious to go back there and enjoy another terrific steak dinner.
#1 Steak in Cleveland by far!. These guys are amazing. My wife and I went there for the first time last night and we were blown away by how good the food really was. The service was outstanding as well. Although it is not in the best area of town, there is someone that keeps an eye on your car. Once you get inside, its a whole new world though. We will definitely be back!
Amazing Blackened Prime Rib and Tiger Shrimp Scampi!. After reading a few reviews below I felt compelled to write my own. It must be the owners of the other steakhouses writing bad reviews because we have gone to Ferris Steak House for many years now and have been absolutely satisfied with their service and definitely with their food. This is by far the best steak you will have in the city Cleveland. My fiancee and I enjoy this place so much, it is where I proposed to her. The owners were more than helpful with the arrangements and made the night go exactly as I pictured it. Thanks again guys, I will be back soon for more scampi and prime!
Cleveland's oldest and finest. Ferris Steakhouse knows steaks and they stick to the elements of an exceptional meal and remarkable service.
We went to Ferris with high expectations. The service was average, as several tables received their food ahead of us although we ordered first, and we were a table of 2. The food was good, but our filet was overcooked and had to be sent back. Our waitress said they were "out of water" and it was 30 minutes or so until our water was re-filled. We left the place at 9:50 for an 8 p.m. seating.
The kicker was that they refused to honor our $25 gift certificate from restaurant dot com, saying they had issues with the website and opted out of the program BEFORE my certificate was purchased. The certificate was the main reason we drove 45 minutes in a snow/rain storm to this place. This is a horrible business practice as they offered to knock off $12 instead after some haggling. In the end, it will cost them a lot more than that $13 difference in business. If they would have honored the certificate, I probably would have returned, but not now and please do not patronize this place. And I will tell everyone I know not to go there.
