Great local gay bar. It's a great local gay bar. It's a place where you can go to be yourself, and don't have to spend 30 hours a day to get your outfit and hair just right. It's like the "Old" Muggs (west 117th and Lorain) used to be before it became "MJ's". All-in-all it's a great place to be.

Gross Out City. I freaking swear to you, a guy farted while I was sitting next to him at the bar and no one said a word! The bathroom looked like it hadn't been scrubbed down in a year or two. The bartender even went in to light a match to try to dispel the awful stench. The bar was freezing inside. I guess the owner is trying to save on heating bills. The crowd was mostly old men and a few young guys who looked lost. The only guys who appeared to be having a good time were friends of the bartender, and they were doing shots. Everyone else looked either smashed or bored. I do not recommend this bar to anyone younger than 40.

Lovable gay dive with character. A neighborhood gay bar. Doesn't advertise. Cheap, strong drinks. $6.00 pitchers of draft beer. Always occupied - gets packed between 10pm and 2am most nights (always on Fri. & Sat.) Not the cutest guys or surroundings, but reliable with lots of charm. Pool table.

Avoid. Good place to get physically abused by employees. Just show up around 2:15 and try to walk in. I did, and got the door seriously slammed in my face, good thing I was able to get my hand out of the door frame before it got nailed. This was not part of any kind of misbehavior, just trying to walk through a door. I was told they were just following the rules. If these are the rules, there are other places to go. Who wants to be in a situation like that when there's no way to know what these "rules" are?
