Authentic Latin Dance Hall. You don't hear about this place much. It kind of flies under the radar. However, it is still open and alive and well.

They had a good band playing. I guess they always do on Saturdays--not sure about other days. They have a large dance floor, lots of tables, two bars, and a couple pool tables. The pool tables and one bar are on one side, while everything else is on the other side. Cover charge was $5. Nonalcoholic drinks were only $1. Both bartenders were good. They are bilingual. The one kind of looks like Shakira with dark hair. I don't think they have a kitchen, although I saw a couple people munching on something.

They need to clean up the dried blo od on the wall in the mens restroom in the south end of the building. I also would suggest a little redocrating...the red and green Christmas lights on the one side of the dance floor just don't look right this time of year.

Overall, I would highly recommend this place. Parking is free, but you might want to arrive in a bulletproof taxi, due to the nature of the neighborhood.

Although the outer neighborhood is rough, the patrons were not troublemakers. It is a pretty diverse crowd age-wise from 21 year olds to grandmothers and grandfathers.

This place is the real deal for a Latin club. You are not going to find many (if any) gringos here.
