STINKY PASTA. So i walked in to primo vino thinking i was about to have a great meal. Then i see a rat scurry across the floor. I ordered the chicken parm and it was a rat tail. Then i vomited all over the place.
Good wine list...poor food. This place seemed so promising when we perused the wine list - extensive Italian collection, some of it very well priced - but the food was mediocre across the board. Bland red sauce with steamed <frozen> ravioli, overcooked noodles, nothing to write home about. But if you're in the mood for a good bottle, check it out.
Good wine...that's all. Great for wine, good selection and nice atmosphere (music could have been better), but the service and the food were not that great, would definitely not go back for the food.
Cook Up Some Pasta at Home. Primo Vino is notable only for its huge collection of Italian Reds. If you're hungry, eat at home and get some great wine and dessert at Primo Vino. We had reservations and still waited 20 minutes at the 'bar'. The menu is dull, almost entirely pastas with red sauce, and seating is crowded. I recommend it only for families with young children or large groups of impoverished Case students.
Wine List Unmatched. Best wine list in the city! Friendly environment with no BS.
