The Scene
This place sometimes gets passed by: Maybe it's the unassuming wooden tables and rustic feel, smack in the middle the quirky Coventry quarter-mile. The small cozy dining room has big picture windows, perfect for observing the funky hubbub of the neighborhood with its mix of students, suburbanites and tattooed and pierced punks.
The Food
The tomato-based pastas, egg platters, burgers and other classic American entrees are solid. The house-recipe Bloody Mary is one of the best in town. On the weekends the breakfast and brunch selections are more elaborate and the crowds pile in throughout the morning and afternoon hours to feast on plates of scrambled eggs peppered with hunks of avocado and stacks of fluffy pancakes. Wash it down with a dark cup of the Inn's coffee.

I had brunch at Inn on Coventry just a few weeks ago. The food was typical of what you'd expect from a greasy spoon. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but it wasn't the worst either. The pancakes were really great (I tasted my daughter's), but the biscuits and gravy I had weren't the best. The biscuits were dry and the gravy was merely mediocre. The place was not busy while I was there, with only one other couple being waited on, but even though there were several waitstaff sitting around, we were neglected. Everything took too long for the lack of customers and they staff were less than friendly. I would probably go there in a pinch, but not to enjoy a really good meal.

Scrumptious weekend brunch. If you are hungry for an awesome home cooked meal with great atmosphere-this is the place. Very cozy, laid back restaurant where they make you feel right at home. Incredible dinner and breakfast food-amazing pancakes of all kinds. You must get there early for the mango-sour cream or lemon-ricotta....sometimes long lines on Sundays, but WELL worth the wait! A gem
