This is the 1st time I went for dinner to Little Italy. Valerio's restaurant is located conveniently on Mayfield Road near parking areas. The place seemed nice and we went in. The menu offered several dishes for ~$15, and more choices for about $20-25. We ordered 2 entrees for 16, and that's probably why they were not tasty. One dish had almost no flavor, the other was bitter. Both of them seemed to be not completely cooked. I really should've asked them to bring us something else, but decided not to wait another 15 minutes while they cook. The service was ok, but other waiters had a distractingly loud conversation too close to where we were sitting. A bad first experience. I will stick to spagetti next time I'm in an Italian place.
Pros: nice place, convenient location
Cons: the lower priced entrees seem to be terribe

While I don't find the main dishes exceptional or worth the price, this small restaurant has good food, especially pasta. The service is not great, perhaps because there is more demand than the restaurant could fit. After easily spending a hundred for two (pasta with no main course, one glass of wine for one of us), we found on the bill to be a dollar more than the listed price on the menu, on each of the items we ordered, from the glass of wine, to the appetizer, to the pasta dishes and dessert. We paid the bill as we weren't sure. But confirmed our suspecion when we checked with the menus at the door. While I know going to a restaurant and getting poor food may be thought of as being taken. It's accepted as a risk of being adventuresome. Getting over charged on each and every item on the menu is my first and probably qualify as true fraud. I don't know what to think of this activity when it's done so blatantly. If they want to make more money, up the prices... at least their pasta is worth it. If they want to overcharge me, add it up wrong or something. I never check how it adds up, unless it's 50 dollars out of ballpark. But for God's sakes, don't be altering the prices on the bill cause it just insults your customers and make them want to write it up on Citysearch.
Pros: Good pasta
Cons: Check your bills against the menu price. Don't get overcharged.
