The Scene – With its tin ceiling, whirring Casablanca-style fans and a tiled bar long enough to spread out in, it's easy to see why discerning diners of all ages consider this city bistro a home away from home. The kitchen serves up homestyle Italian food; the staff offers even homier hospitality, and a quirky sense of fun plants tongue firmly in cheek. On live opera nights, a tenor spices-up an eight-course dinner served between musical interludes. – – The Food – Combine the Baby Clams Tarantino (named for the owner), simmered with zucchini and tomatoes, with any of…
not good at all
by Sam2222
too hot in the summer. you walk in there and start sweating. the food is alright, but Olive Garden is just the same for so much cheaper. unfortunately, i've found insects in my food numerous times. most of the servers are NASTY as well as the hostesses. not reccomended!!
- Cons: insects, heat, food, nasty hosts
Ugh - Try Elsewhere

Appetizers were OK: Caprese salad good, polenta and sausage fair. Entrees were very bad. The pasta abrezze was about the level of an Olive Garden entree. The Shrimp Risotto (special of the day) was inedible: rice undercooked, off taste to the dish, and a bad smell. Tried one bite, and left it alone.
Server was nice; kitchen was slow.
Skipped dessert. Check was $90. Brio or Bravo would be twice as good, at half the price. Dine elsewhere.
- Pros: Caprese Salad, Service
- Cons: Bad Food

I was up till 5 a.m. violently throwing up... Worst meal I have ever had...
Try to make this short....
Rewind a few hours: Girl that sat us was nice, waitress was nice. I ordered shrimp risotto; ate one shrimp and one bite of risotto (which didn't resemble risotto at all- horrible). I have NEVER once in my life sent back a meal or complained, ever (or written in one of this reviews). We were very polite and I just told them it was inedible and they should check the shrimp and probably not serve it. Dinner went on, we continued to have fun and not let something so small ruin the night and then the bill; I didn't look as is the norm, gave the waitress my card, and she came back looking so embarrassed. The manager made her charge half price of the plate and then gauge our response after she told us. She was mortified and looked totally ashamed. $14 to lose a customer for life (and many more)- great business plan. So we gave her over 25% tip, paid the full price as an F-U to the guy and went on our way. Then a few hours later... I still get sick thinking about it- avoid this place at all cost
- Pros: Waitress and bartender were cool
- Cons: Everything but Pro's
