The Gardens
Founded in 1930, the spectacular Cleveland Botanical Gardens boasts more than 3,000 herbs, plants and shrubs growing on 7.5 acres of lush, landscaped grounds.
More than Flowers
The University Circle site also showcases photography exhibits and readings by area poets. It keeps one of the country's largest garden libraries, including a special children's section, where pre-schoolers enjoy garden-themed storytelling sessions. In addition, special kids' classes are offered throughout the year, usually allowing children to make-and-take a garden-related art projects.

Going to the Cleveland Botanical Garden is always a joy because you never know exactly what to expect. Of course there are flowers and what not but it??s the new flowers and the way that they??re arranged that takes you by surprise. Whenever you go to the Cleveland Botanical Garden make sure to bring a camera because there are definitely some memories to be made.

I've never had the chance to been to an actual tropical area before, but this gave me a good feel of it in a simulated environment. It's a two-story building with numerous trees, plants, and animals you only find in rainforests. They have exotic species of butterflies floating around and eating bananas and oranges left around. The plants are gorgeous, beautifully colored, and rare. For someone who's never seen the rainforest or tropics before, this is identical to the real thing!

The Botanical Gardens is a most inviting place to go. It has over 10-acres of world-class gardens. Their Hershey Childrens Garden is the first garden of it's kind in the state of Ohio. It's a fascinating place to go and so beautiful. They have a spectacular glass house with a 40 foot Fig Tree and 30 Foot Baobab tree. It houses well over 350 species. Enjoy the wonderful waterfall inside as well. It's a fantastic place to go to get rid of those 'winter blues'
