Fabulous Dining Experience!. My family and I had the pleasure of dining at Angelo's Nido Italia on Fat Tuesday and had a wonderful time! The food, service and company were fabulous and Angelo treated us like royalty! Thanks for a memorable evening!

Abusive owner ruins experience. 2 of my friends and I visited Nido Italia recently on a Saturday. They had a loud band in the background, so be prepared for quite a bit of noise. My caprese salad was actually quite good, but my friend didn't fare so well with her calamari pasta and ended up not finishing it, saying that it was "way too chewy". Our waitress was very nice and capable. The most disturbing thing that happened however, was when the owner (I assume) abused his staff in front of customers, calling them "a retard" and "stupid" quite a few times. He also made several racial comments/slurs in earshot of everyone. He made us really uncomfortable and we left very shortly thereafter and will not return.

I would go again and again.... I have eaten at Nido Italia a few times. This has always been a good solid meal. I love the sauce and the appetizers are VERY generous portions. The bill is reasonable compared to a few other places in Little Italy that highjkack your wallet.The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you have to wait for them to clear a table, they tell you and work very quickly. I have even seen the owner working and setting tables. He walks around asks you if you need anything and seems pretty good to his staff. As someone who waited tables in college if the owner is not nice to waiteresses I will NOT go back. Don't yell at your staff in front of customers, I can watch tv if I want to see drama!

We ordered pasta and steak, both were very hot, but our waitress warned us, which was fine, so we finished our salads. We ordered the special, a fish the previous vist and it was tasty! The music was good, not too loud, and wait staff was very attentive and accomodating. The air conditioner was cranked up the night we were in there, which was fine, just bring a sweater. I swear this is the cleanest restarurant I have ever been in!!!! I would recommend. It is great you can eat outside in the summer, I wish there were glass windows in front so you could see the street traffic year round- that would be great!
