Dianna's Deli for breakfast. My daughter and I hit this spot just on the Cleveland/Lakewood border this past Mondy. The food was very good for breakfaxt - eggs cooked as requested, , waffle cooked without being burned, bacon also cooked to order. I loved the clean looking interior and the prompt service. We had a Belgin waffle with strawberries, eggs over medium, bacon. sausage. All done well. Thanks!
good monte cristo sandwich, and the grilled cheese was nothing to sneeze at either... very nice atmosphere, family friendly, GREAT food.. the waitress was hilarious (and conscientious)! the official reviewer must have come while having a bad day. highly recommended.. loved the onion rings.. good good price.. the two of us ate till fullness for $20. go now.
Friendly and welcoming. This place has the best tuna melts. The rice pudding is fabulous. They have a wide variety of tasty desserts(cakes, pies, ect.) yum! This place is great if your on a budget, want some good comfort food, and its a great place to hang out with friends and family.
Don't believe that cynical editorial!.
This is a great restaurant. If you're looking for health food, it's not the place to go. Yes, many of their items are cholestorol-laden, but delicious! And the value is extraordinary. You get way more food than you would anywhere else for the price. Plus the menu is so extensive, everyone will find something they enjoy.
So, Mr. McGee - order the fried mozzerella (the best in town!) and then take a jog around Lakewood. I doubt anyone would miss your company in the restaurant.
Mediocre service, mediocre food, interesting people. But why are they here?.
The Scene
There must be some reason people go to Dianna's, right? Must be because it's always open--it's certainly not the food. On display at this 24-hour diner, you'll find a collection of interesting types whose conversations are a joy to eavesdrop in on. For sheer people-watching pleasure, Dianna's is hard to beat.
The Food
The triple cheese omelette is a mess of grease and cholesterol that's a real favorite with Dianna's patrons. It goes well with a side of fries and maybe a bagel. Otherwise, we're talking veal of questionable origin, an okay turkey club that costs a good $1.50 more than it should, and bacon that may have been peeled off the back of a gerbil. Especially around 2am, your order may take a while to materialize unless you force the issue. This isn't necessarily a bad thing.
The Crowd
Drunken folks of all sexual and fashion persuasions; AA-meeting types loading up on coffee and cigarettes; neighborhood residents looking for a cheap bite; couples sitting side-by-side in big booths for no good reason.
Simply great!. Friendly service, great food like Mom used to make and a convenient location ... all at prices that won't break the bank!
More for less. Dianna's definitely offers more food for less price! The servings are so large, you can get two meals out of them. Dianna's provides a friendly dining atmostphere, as well as, the taste of homemade cooking.
Lot's of yummy!. Dianna's offers huge portions, great tasting food at great prices. It's nice to find a down to earth place with real food. If you're sick of tiny portions of not so great food at ridiculous prices this place is for you.
