The Scene
If overbearing crowds and pompous attitudes leave you longing for a kinder, gentler bar scene, search no further: At this 20-year-old establishment, simplicity reigns supreme. Black-and-white images of vintage Cleveland edge the walls, serving as conversation pieces for fortunate guests who snag one of the elevated booths. A worn-carpeted "dining room" is filled with high-back cubicles that provide intimacy for friendly card games or hushed conversation between sweethearts.
The Selection
Frosty pitchers of Michelob Light, Harp and Molson Canadian are the customary centerpieces, and witty servers deliver artery-clogging grub well into the evening. Sample the famous two-handed Cajun burger, a hearty half-pound hunk of meat seasoned to spicy perfection. Meatless Catholics flock in on Fridays during Lent for the delicious fish and pierogi fry.
We Eat Pretty Boys for Lunch
Usually full of older regulars yucking it up with the bartenders, the Rush Inn also attracts club-weary 20-somethings opting for cheap beer with close friends rather than downtown's over-priced cocktails. Forego this haunt if your idea of "casual dress" is a J.Crew sweater vest.

Kenny Rush IS A PIECE OF DOGGIE DOO-DOO! Seriously people, don't bother giving him ANY of your money, He's a user of illegal of controlled substances. My wife and I went to the Avon Rush Inn. We sat at the bar and witnessed the owner YELLING at one of his employees to the point she was almost in tears. Who do you think you are Mr. Rush? Really? You can go to hell. Pull the straw out of your nose and learn some people skills. This might be the reason your Lakewood store is doing so bad. You can't see past the end of your nose.

The Rush is a fantastic place to go on a date or take your buddies to watch the game. The food is phenomenal and the daily specials are always worth it (Taco Mondays always a plus!). The staff is always friendly and quick.

My husband and I used to love the rush inn in Lakewood. I don't know if they changed management or employees - but it's horrible now. We have not had a good meal there in over a year. The service is still fine - but the food is awful...AWFUL. We always order medium burgers - and in the last year they have not once given us medium burgers. Twice now they were rare (bleeding) and multiple times they were burned horribly (like charcoal). What a disappointment this restaurant has become. Too bad. We will walk further to go elsewhere. There are just too many other restaurant/bars in Lakewood to pick from.
