Great place, parties or just getting out. Always fun.
This being the Oldest bar in Lkwd, it is a must as far as city stops go if you like to tour cities and bars. Mon and Thur are Pattys Taco nights, highly recommended. The other meal specials and the menu is up to par.
The bar itself seems to be Irish themed but not so much that you feel out of place if you are not Irish yourself.the wait staff and management are nice enough, but what do you expect they have to deal with a bunch of drunks all the time. They usually have good specials on tap and the bottle is average price. If Carlene is working on Sat. in the newly remolded side ask for either a Green Martian or a Surfer on Acid, she makes them right and very good!

Bartenders are rude and thieves!. First, the bartender's and the waitresses seem to be pretty and fun, but they quickly ignored customers they didn't like. The food was okay, the draft beer was skunking, but the bottles were not to expensive. The real reason I would not recconmmend Merry Arts to anyone! Is because when it was time to pay the tab the bartender continued to ignore us, then when we actually yelled to get her attention she brought the bill over we paid cash! Leaving no tip!, then two days later I find that she billed billed our credit card as well and gave herself and nice tip! That is fraud and legal actions are pursuing but I would just warn anyone away from starting a tab if they do go to Merry Art's but hopefully they will get shut down and the bartender will be charged with theft!!

Recently Expanded. Merry Arts recently expanded, doubling the area of the bar. The new side is very nice, with a fire place, plush couches and other comphy seating, as well as new bathrooms. It is never too crowded but there is always a decent crowd of very mixed variety. Prices are typical of all Lakewood bars. This is a great place to go relax and talk with friends while getting light up.
