Wedding Dress Covered in Period Stains!!. I went through Promises because they were listed as an authorized retailer of DaVinci dresses, and I already knew what dress I wanted. Fran, the owner, assured me she could get the dress and would have it by December 20. After many phone calls laden with one lame excuse after another, I received my dress on January 6. Fran and her associate Debbie came to my home to drop off the dress. I examined the outside of the dress and it looked brand new and beautiful.

After they left I unzipped the dress to try it on, and the inside was covered in menstrual stains and smelled like it, too. I immediately called Fran, and after several attempts, she answered and explained she must have brought me the wrong dress from her store and that she was turning her car around to come right back for the dress. She never showed up. I called Fran's cell phone and Debbie's cell phone many, many times, but both refused to answer my calls. After two hours I received a phone call from Fran from the store. She told me I must have been on my period when I tried on the dress, and that it was my fault and I was trying to screw them over. I told them I had pictures with time stamps showing that the stains look like they have been dried for quite some time and you could tell that someone had tried to remove the stain. I told her I would send the pictures to my attorney so we could take them to court. Fran told me the only thing that would happen in court would be that everyone would find out how big of a liar I was and that I could go "F" myself, and then she hung up. No calls to her have been answered or returned since.

I am out $450, had to rush to buy a new wedding dress from a store's inventory (wedding is in one month), and will be taking Promises Bridal to court. Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend getting anywhere near these people. Horrible, horrible people.
