Waited 2 hours for meal....20 mins between drink orders.....there are no waitresses. This place is really nice inside, except its way too small. You are crammed together like sardines. There appears to be no staff except the owner/manager guy running around like a maniac taking orders. Very chaotic. The food was very bland...no fresh flavors...i got chicken buritos...they were boring. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Also there is no where to park except side streets. Not going there again................
disappointing. My boyfriend and I got 2 burritos to go and were really disappointed. We got a grilled chicken burrito, a bean and cheese burrito big plate and a smoothie and with tip cost about $30. The burritos weren't closed at the end so they were messy to eat, the chicken was dry, the chips were stale, and the couscous was bland. The smoothie was really good though.
Unexpectedly good. I'm usually wary of restaurants that serve alot of different ethnic foods, but this place really does a great job of mexican and asian food at once! the atmosphere is also perfect for hanging out with a group of friends. Note that this place serves fantastic mojitos!!
Cross Vietnam with Cuba, Jamaica and Manhattan, add a little Cleveland, and shake..
In Short
Island music bops, ceiling fans beat and stained-glass lizards lounge in this wedge of Ohio City brick. A vegetarian's haven, Mango offers fresh breads and dips (often spicier than you'd expect) and miso soup. Carnivores go for the Escondido crab claws, blackened chicken quesadillas or pad thai. Fresh West Side Market produce gets blended into drinks (with or without alcohol). The wet bar pours the best strawberry Long Island Iced Teas in town.
Johnny Mango KICKS ASS!. This place is world class. The people are freindly, the food and drink are world class, and the atmoshere is inviting. I definately recomend this anyone looking to have a great dining experience while at the same time getting a great value. The portions are plentifull and jumping with flavor.
beware, we must've gone on an off night. I must say, one of the worst dining experiences we've had. The food is overpriced for what you get, and is not prepared well. We got the chicken and it came to our table burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. We sat outside while someone's dog kept roaming the area. We ended up pay a lot for lousy food and a lousy experience. And their margarita are overated, based upon reviews at this site! Our server didn't handle the situation very well either.
Mojito, baby. If you go for lunch or dinner, get a Mojito to start off with. If you just happen to be in the neighborhood, stop by for a Mojito. Make any excuse you can... Johnny Mango does this refreshing Cuban beverage better than any I've tasted in the Midwest.
Great Margarita's. Great El Diablo Margarita's!!!!!!! Just make sure someone else is driving home.
Different is Good!!!. This colorful dining spot offers food that span the globe. Thai, mexican, and even vegetarian are just a few of the tastes that you can try. Every experience there has been top notch. the service, food, and even the decore is second to none. If you want to have fun, enjoy some interesting drinks, and eat very good, try Johnny Mangos.
