Best burger NOT. 19 Action news Food Wars got me intrested in trying this place and man i was let down Heck's should not even be in a compition for a burger.Small thin patties, on a dry over sized non-toasted bun.

Did not like the burger at all it was very dry and no flavor I will not be returning:-( . Even Wendy's has a better burger

Burgers not so good.. I'm from Columbus, and had an appointment in Cleveland, so I stopped by for lunch last weekend, based on all the great burger talk. I'm sorry, I just didn't see (taste) it. Small patties, on a dry over sized non-toasted bun, with hot house tomatoes, and warm lettuce? Seriously? It taste of all bread! If this is the best burger of the north coast, you guys are missing out! Fuddruckers, Bob Evans, Five Guys, and even Wendy's has a better burger than Hecks. And if your ever in Columbus, check out Thurman's cafe...your burger bar will set to its highest level ever!

Hecks is BACK!. Since moving my office nearby I have been to Hecks 4 times in the past month. Today I took my family there for a New Years eve lunch. This place is back to its prime--the prime it reached 25 years ago. The burgers are tasty, huge, perfectly seasoned and beautifully served. The fries are the best. The wraps are wonderful. The service is nearly perfect. AND the coffee is perfectly laced with cinnomen. The prices are moderate--4 of us had great meals today and with the tip the cost was just over $60. Oh, and there is plenty of free street parking.

Beef-and-bun devotees share the indoor atrium with fans of wine and artichokes at this improved longtime favorite.. In Short
This joint has little in common with the new yuppie-friendly Ohio City. Burger devotees have been coming to this converted soda shop for half a century. Romantic couples and small groups of regulars sidle past the dessert display for a seat in the flower-filled back room. There are various versions of the Hecksburger to fit any mood, but the Italian-infused menu isn't limited to beef. There's a super portobello sandwich, several good pastas, a solid Caesar salad, and outstanding cakes.

Why the heck is Heck's on this list?. Yuk! This place used to be one of the best places in town for a quaint meal. The greenhouse room is cool. But the burgers here are no longer good. Like another reviewer, I had a natural gas burger. Never again. Go someplace else!

Natural gas flavored, yuk!. Over five years ago, Heck's was one of THE places to go for a great grilled burger. In my view, they're no longer deserving of their placement in a best-tasting burger list. My most recent trip, earlier this year, was a lunch with a friend. We hadn't been there for a couple years, but we weaved our way through Ohio City to the quaint restaurant because we wanted one of those awesome grilled burgers we used to have all the time. Both burgers tasted of natural gas or something artificial. They were horrible. I won't go back for a burger. Ever. And with all the choices in Cleveland and Akron, I doubt I'll ever go back for the other food. Maybe if I'm in the neighborhood...but I doubt it.

Charming atmosphere, inexpensive food.. Sitting in the quaint greenhouse was a pleasant way to start the afternoon. Everything we ordered was great, from the Eggs Benedict to the rich tomato basil soup. This is a great place to chat with friends over a cup of delicious cinnamon-nutmeg coffee. You definitely get your money's worth.

dumpster heaven. Most likely the most overpriced burger in the Cleveland area. Dry as sawdust with about as much taste.
