Fun place for a night out.
Extensive beer menu and laid back atmosphere make for a great night out with friends. The small menu is good and I especially love the Thomas Edison theme :)

Good Food, HORRIBLE BARTENDER.
I wish I would have read the review by Anonymous5787 before visiting this bar. I couldn't agree more with their review. I also had a similar experience. As a resident of Tremont, and supporter of all things Tremont, it saddens me to write a review of such a long standing establishment in my favorite Cleveland neighborhood. While the food is consistently good at Edison’s, especially the pizza, the service and general attitude of the bartender at the pub is unacceptable. It is apparent that the bartender is indifferent about the patrons, she is unfamiliar with the term customer service, and completely apathetic about the success of the establishment. The bartender should be less concerned about checking her phone for texts, or status updates, and more concerned about pouring drinks for the customers. There is nothing more miserable than receiving attitude from an employee at the one place you spend your money to seek entertainment and leisure. It’s unfortunate that one person alone can ruin the whole atmosphere of an entire business. I will not return to the pub and would not recommend this place to anyone.

BEWARE OF RED HAIRED FAT BARTENDER!.
This was my favorite bar in Tremont until we had the unfortunate experience meeting the most horrible bartender in Cleveland.
She kicked me out of the bar because my BOYFRIEND asked her to put on the Indians game instead of the PENGUINS game. We are in Cleveland, right?
Then she called the cops on my boyfriend who stuck up for me. The cop apologized and said he knows when she is working because they always get called for ridiculous reasons.
The point is... go to Edisons but run fast if you see her behind the bar.

great time in clevland.
The bar staff was very upbeat and friendly. The food next door was great i suggest the McGinty. The vast selection of beer was a nice change from the same old thing. The free live music every saturday will keep me comming back.

While this ultimate neighborhood lab doesn't hold the patent on 100-plus beers, having bartenders that can describe them all qualifies as the greatest invention since sliced soda bread..
The Scene
At first glance, it's fairly obvious that this cozy, European-style pub is decorated to honor Thomas Alva Edison, with odd artifacts from the turn of the 20th century adorning the bar's tiny front section. It's also fairly obvious that if Edison hung out much at his namesake, he wouldn't have invented a damn thing.
That's because he would have had more than 100 types of beer to drink up, several of which are typically hard to find. Sandy, the manager, recommends the St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout on tap, the Hoegaarden Belgium White and the Leifman Fraumbozien Bier (a raspberry wine-style ale). The bartenders are well-educated on the line-up, and if you still need help choosing, expert Sandy's usually there. Despite the fancy brews, Edison's is an unpretentious hangout built in a converted house. Up a few stairs, the bar's second level stretches out with booths, a pool table and a summer patio.
Invent-O-Meal
Edison's Next Door Deli is but a few steps away--serving up great sandwiches to all Tremont night owls.
