the velvet dog. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Velvet Dog. The staff was very friendly, and the colorful atmosphere and sound really brings the place to life.

The BEST Danceclub in Cleveland!!!. The Velvet Dog is constantly reinventing itself. If you haven't been lately, stop through!! They must have recently upgraded their sound, lights, and DJ's because it was an amazing experience. By far the best place to dance in Cleveland, and the Roof-Top has private Cabanas you can reserve and the best view of the City anywhere. The staff is beautiful and friendly. Great Friday Happy Hour as well!! Keep it up!

The Dog is best on West 6th.. I’d have to say that me and my friends had a great time last weekend at the Dog. The DJ was great and they played everything from r&b, pop, and remixes that I never heard before. If you want a change a pace, rooftop patio is all I got to say. I’ve been to every club on West 6th, and I always start or end my night at the Velvet Dog, most of the time I do both.

VD is your best chance in Cleveland to get VD. If you go to VD, you are probably in the under 25 club and have no hobbies outside of beer and sports.

Women, you are most likely to find guys with their hats cocked 45 degrees coming up behind you rubbing their crotch in your behind and flipping out lines like "Hey girl, you are looking so fine I wanna make you mine"

Guys, if you are looking for easily impressed women, well look no further. You could be a highly edumicated person here. <---and yes that was the intended spelling.

Unimaginative top 40 music combined with the most unimaginative crowd in Cleveland that knows fashion from solely from an A&F catalog. Khakis, really? REALLY? I thought people only danced in circles in high school and in movies. I was wrong.

The upside of this place is it's rooftop deck, which is by the best in the city during the summer. Unfortunately you have most of the same crowd here.

If you like to run in the middle of the pack and don't like to step out front, then this is the place for you after every Cavs game you go.

Great place to have a party. I had my office party here and everything was great! Great job, bravo on all accounts!! The music, staff and space was perfect to deal with....

Great club!. The few times I've been to the VD have always been fun, very fun. It's not Studio 54, but not bad for Cleveland, OH. I've had friends from out-of-town there and they've been very impressed, too. Great place to people watch - never a dull moment! The 3rd floor lounge and the roof-top tiki bar are my favorites. The staff is always friendly, especially Karen who works the 3rd floor on weekends. She is terrific!!!

This typical dance club's pee(p) show gets all the press.. The Scene
There's one window that gets plenty of talk at the Dog: It's a one-way mirror in the men's room that overlooks the dance floor, allowing visiting males a gander at the evening's prospects. But the ground-level innovations stop with the pee(p) show. Its first floor possesses all the familiar trappings of a typical dance club. However, this relatively swank Warehouse District spot added two more floors that pull in huge weekend crowds.

The Draw
What may seem like a thinning of the crowd may actually be the pull of the third floor--a smaller, hip zone that includes a lively open rooftop bar. These flashes of inspiration bode well for the future, because the Dog already enjoys the reputation for being one of the better-maintained pop stops on the dance circuit. It also offers a clean blend of safe, '80s-influenced dance cuts, perfect for the young professional crowd.
