The Scene
The carnival-midway Guinness mirror above Moriarty's doorway first draws your attention, and from the moment you venture inside, you're hooked. The place is packed with loud drunk
people, straining to be heard over equally loud music, much of it Irish, coming from the jukebox. Suit-clad CPAs stop by for a quick one on the way home, 30-ish guys and women flirt with one another before heading off to trendier bars on the other Sixth Street, and downtown denizens make this place their neighborhood watering hole.
The Draw
The dimly lit tight quarters at Mort's (as it's lovingly called by regulars) makes for instant camaraderie--you can't help but join the conversation at the next table because you're practically touching it.
