Westlake >Rocky River Brewing Co
To the person who wanted free drinks, it is illegal to give away liqour in Ohio. He could have given you a snack BUT no free booze.
RUDE OWNER, dine elsewhere. I've NEVER been more insulted when visiting a restaurant than I was when I visited RRBC this past Friday night. After waiting longer than expected for our table the hostess ADMITTED to me that because she could not read her own writing she had been seating tables of guests who had arrived after us with the same number of people in their party. After being seated finally, we asked the hostess admit her error to the manager and would it be possible for them to send over a complimentary drink. We were then greeted by GARY the OWNER who informed us that NO ONE walks into his bar and asks for free drinks, that it wasnt his policy. Furthermore after we explained our situation, he returned to us with the hostess sign in sheet arguing that the guests who were seated before us were only seated several minutes earlier. I've never in my life been so rudely spoken to by a server let alone the OWNER of a restaurant. Needless to say we left immediately with GARY rudely shouting after us "GO AHEAD, LEAVE". For those of you out there in search of a great independently owned restaurant and/or local brewerey, look elsewhere. There are plenty of other restaurants out there with owners who appreciate and respect their customers.
Try it, you'll like it.
We always have a good experience and enjoyable time at RRBC. The microbrews are very tasty and a nice menu to compliment the beers. I would recommend the cucumber/turkey wrap, its somewhat healthy and has a unique taste. The french fries are great too! This restaurant usually has exciting daily specials that aren't on the menu as well.
Too bad they took their to die for crabcakes and taco salad off the menu! I could also live for some hot pretzels with my microbrew that they used to have.
With a menu and a patio that has improved with each baseball season, this glossy brewpub is a suburban star-in-the-making..
Jaded but not faded, Cleveland is a beer-drinking town. Anyone who sneers at the notion of eating in a brewpub doesn't remember what made this city great: burgers mounded majestically with amber waves of hops. The Rocky River Brewing Company fills its exposed brick with a new 62-foot bar and an antique clock that could have once graced Grand Central Station. It's definitely not Miller time: Kettle-fresh suds like Rockport Red and Bradstreet Bitters microbrews get a youngish crowd in designer duds hopping. Order your burgers right and they arrive by multiples in a shiny painter's bucket.
Full dinners run to steaks and swordfish tacos. Enjoy Sunday brunch on a warm-weather patio that has been known to host some of the local pro athletes.
