Great place for your caffeine fix. Okay, before I start, let me set the record straight. Any review referencing the greenhouse is out of date. I’ve been going to Cravings for 14 years and I know the original greenhouse closed 5 years ago. The owner did re-opened a few doors down but the new place has none of the ambiance the first place had. Now about Cravings today, they have the best coffee in Cleveland, period. They’ve been roasting their own coffee since as far back as I can remember. Until you have had coffee minutes out of the roaster you have not tasted how good coffee can be! Plus they have the best staff I’ve ever seen anywhere. They know my drink and have it ready when I show up. Most of the employees have worked there forever. Don’t be intimidated by all the dark complexion men, they are recent immigrants and know where to come to find coffee like they serve in European coffee houses!

Awesome Coffee Shop. I love Cravings. The coffee is the best and they always have fresh muffins and cookies ready. The girls that work in the mornings are so nice and friendly. Try the cravings mocha too. It's amazing.

Confections and coffee grow wild at this greenhouse-inspired cafe.. The Scene
Is there something in the book of coffeehouse success that says a lovable cafe must be cramped and wooden-walled? If so, Cravings makes the mark; it beats it with an exceptional patio with hanging ferns and a running pond filled with monstrous goldfish. A wonderful spot for relaxing with a read, Cravings has a better than usual selection of free literature to flip through at your leisure. Live jazz guitar music on Friday and Saturday nights makes Cravings a soothing place for a date. Not only do the surroundings whisper European, but the seating also: The greenhouse patio can get cramped and you might find yourself sharing a table with Pierre (that's Peter in Cleveland-speak).

The Food
Along with yummy sweets and a long list of original coffee creations, Cravings carries every Republic of Tea flavor imaginable, for both in-house enjoyment and retail sale. The Tazo Tea collection is also impressive.

Cleveland's Best Coffeehouse. Forget Starbucks, Carribu, or even Cleveland's own Arabica. Cravings is an extremely unique coffee house that offers quality specialty coffees and a great atmosphere. Cravings is in an actual converted greenhouse and attached cottage. But one of the best parts of the coffee house - besides smoking - is the diverse crowd. Do not be surprised to find the well dressed sophisticated Lake Avenue/Avalon Drive residents, blue collar workers, artsy liberals, preppy private school teens, or ethnic people speaking in a variety of languages.
