USED to be the best!.
I used to LOVE Bearden's. My family and I went there at least once per month. Tonight we went to the newly remodeled Bearden's. I give them A++ for decor. However, their food borders on terrible! I can't understand what happened! The onion rings tasted like old, cheap grease. The $7.95 buffalo shrimp salad was in a tiny plastic bowl. The shrimp was dry and over-fried (gone is the juicy fried shrimp dinner I used to love). The side salad for one of our party tasted awful (old and musty). My husband said that I could make a better BLT (and I can't cook!). What was worse is that you no longer have a waitress to even ask if your food was good. Now Bearden's is mostly self-serve. Place your order at the counter, get your own drinks and then they plop your food on the table. The waitress doesn't even ask you if you need anything else. Now, if you want something else, you have to get it yourself. But, guess what, they STILL expect tips! WE WILL ALWAYS MISS THE OLD BEARDEN'S! Sadly, it is gone forever. We won't be going back to the new Bearden's.

Great Place to relax and enjoy your food.
I hung out at Beardons on rocky river drive when I was 16 and up. It was a great place to go and find your friends there too enjoying the atmosphere and the food, and the carhops were great !!

THE BURGERS!!!!.
There is not a place I have ate a burger at in my life that rivals Beardens. I have been eating at Beardens since I was a little kid and still love it. There isn't much more I can say, I haven't eaten really anything else there that I can remember, LOL. The little kids like the train, most adults find it annoying but it reminds me of when I was a little kid, it was the only West Side Restaurant we would go to.

Enjoy a great burger the old-fashioned way--in wax paper, at a roadhouse..
The Scene
Bearden's has been grilling up double patty burgers for more than 50 years. Back then, this was a city roadhouse, thick with knotty pine paneling, fast food and car hops. A generation grew up watching the owner's Lionel locomotive chug around a track in the dining room. About a decade ago, the makeover replaced the Happy Days decor with anonymous white walls and framed folk art prints, but the roadhouse spirit remains, mostly in the food.
The Food
A double patty burger is the way to go, with grilled onions melting into the soft bun. There's even a peanut butter-and-beef variation Elvis might have favored. Domestic and imported beers supplement the popular milkshake accompaniment, and there's even a salad selection. But go with a side of beer-battered mozzarella sticks, a thick malted and the main event, which still comes wax-paper wrapped.

Not Bad After All These Years.
I was thrilled that the restaurant has changed to a non smoking facility.

World's Best Burger.
Being in the Army and a contract civilian worker for over 35 years, I have lived all over the world. Bearden's in Cleveland (there are a number of these in and around Cleveland) absolutely has the most delicious hamburgers of all time.
