While the decor and atmosphere of the Arabica's that exist in the outer suburbs ranges from ordinary to gaudy, the core of the urban locales are still a great place for experiencing the imaginative vibe generated from the college and community creatives, many whom linger long and late in the expansive sites. For the original Arabica feel, visit the Coventry (Euclid Heights Blvd) or University Circle (Juniper Road) locations. The latter--which exists as a separate business entity from the other 12 locations--is situated in an old mansion, and offers patio seating, live music, and the kind of cozy nooks that all coffee conversationalists crave. It's an eclectic (and refreshing) alternative to the growing lump of lackluster lounges around town.

The Crowd
Arabica's java falls somewhere between the sting of Starbucks and the caress of Denny's--offering a slightly bitter but consistent cup of coffee. Also noteworthy is their selection and quality of desserts, cookies, teas and very chocolate-y hot chocolates (white and dark).…
