The Scene
The family Huang-mom, dad and assorted major children-preside over a Chinese menu that grows and grows. Reason: home cooked favorites are added and nobody has the heart to downsize. You'll be offered delicacies like seaweed salad (better than it sounds) and more bean curd than you knew existed, but hold out for "nirvana." Here, that's a steamed broccoli and wheat pate specialty spiced by brown sauce and sesame. Meatier appetites won't feel neglected after some pineapple and cheese chicken, resting on a shredded cabbage nest. Leave room in your ying (or is that yang?) for the non-dairy cheesecake or a slice of the carrot variation.
The Crowd
Popular with the backpack and Birkenstock crowd from the nearby colleges, the rice paper walls offer places to hide your karma away. Afterwards, go hug a cow. Peking Gourmet is neat little feng shui you can eat with a spoon.

The feel of this place is like a NYC or DC resturant only cleaner and less noise. They play chinese music, jazz and classical. The food is excellent. The duck is great. The bbq ribs delightful. They have a chesse shrimp and dish that is awesome. The customer service is great. ... and yes the waitress are cute!!! Don't forget the dessert tray :-) Get there before it close's, all of thoese shops will close soon...the city decided to build more houseing...hahaha...as if we don't have enough vacant homes in this city...go figure. pros: everything above cons: it will be closing soon

We ordered crab rangoon, General Tsos and the orange chicken. The rangoon was basically fried cream cheese, no crab. When the food came out it looked like fried pieces of chicken in watery ketchup. The only difference in the two dishes was one was sweet ketchup and the other was spicy ketchup. I have never had worse chinese food in my life. We sent the food back and left. You would be better off eating at the mall and paying 1/4 of the price. If you want GREAT chinese food try Hunans on coventry, leave the ketchup to McDonalds.
